The series is iffy to me to be honest, some of it's worth watching, but most of its...so different from the books, it about like a separate story that just got signed off by the author.

 

Eh, I'm not that big of a book purist. I mean I loved the books, and read them long before they made the show. Some changes are fine, some changes are better than the books, others have been really weird and bad. But based on the last season I expect there to be huge differences from now on. I can deal with that, I still have my books. The only things i really disapprove of are

the really really stupid and gross scene between Jaimie and Cersei in the last season (y'all know which one) and the way they screwed up STANNIS THE MANNIS! Why would you do that? It's STANNIS THE MANNIS! Oh and the whole last scene between Tyrion and Jaime, that was bad.

@Chernaya Speaking of horror, I just watched the new Silent Hill demo on youtube, that game looks like it's going to be awesome! And Norman Reedus is in it?!   Hype level over 9000000000000000!!

I wouldnt even be able to take it seriously if they killed Varric. Because it would be the most blatant attention grab possible. They would be killing an incredibly well loved character for no reason at all, other then to get reactions.

 

They may as well have the villain go "Nya nya!!" afterwords and stick his tongue out at you.

I wouldn't go that far. Apparently there's an ending where the bad guys win, so... Maybe, instead of killing Varric, Bianca will get destroyed and there will be a sidequest to help him rebuild her?

It would be like bringing Garrus back in ME2 only to allow the rocket to actually kill him. Just NO!

Same here. I wouldn't be able to pick the game up for weeks after. And the best part is that they are probably reading all of this, while going

But that might not work because from the demo it looks like Bianca can be destroyed? The equip button was shaded out but that option wasn't..

I didn't want Konan get a rod shoved through her back and into her lungs, and i certainly didn't want her to get brutally strangled to death and left to rot in a lake... just completely forgotten about by the series...

 

Writers are such sadistic b*stards sometimes.

Once again, this is the Varric Thread, not the Naruto Thread. 

 

I'm kind of expecting for there to be a way for Varric to die but I also expect it to be avoidable. In my experience with Bioware games there's been very few unavoidable companion deaths.
