I'd like to think my family would be fighting the power for mage freedom
we'd also all be strong independent apostates who don't need no circle.

Pfft
Insurgents and traitors.
Freedom for the few and safety for none.- my motto for the mage rebellion

She should love the Templars!
Once i explained the concept to my grand father, he was like...well someone needs to keep those magic a**holes in line, and i'm like @_@
My family is awesome.
Actually she hates all Templars, she thinks they should learn to love and like the mages-she's a bit of a hippy- though Cullen is safe, she likes him.

._.
Alrightie then.
As a soldier i'd respectfully tell her, that you cannot coddle a revolt, you cannot "love" a rebellion.
That's me as a person though, in so far as DA though? I'd laugh.
Hippies are odd.

My mother is indeed odd, very, very odd, both my parents are, their rules for me as I was growing up were no drugs, no excessive drinking, no babies and as long as I didn't get arrested I could do whatever I wanted, within reason.

OMG! OMG! Info about Cadash!Inquisitor!: http://www.dragonage...n_US/inquisitor
At first I was just going to make a joke post about playing a dwarven mage (...because I will always try!) but then I saw that!
...and I know that technically isn't related to Varric, but I was too excited to resist posting it here.

*note to self buy DAO strategy guide and make mother play DAO*
*other note to self get another copy for xbox or the first note is not happening*
*third note get mother hooked on DAO*
I got my mom playing dragon age and it was bad. She will play for hours and hours straight. My brother griped about it and I was like "my bad..." Note: I live far away think it's hilarious that my brother has to fight my mom for his xbox

Sounds a lot like my parents, actually. I had very young, lenient parents lol. Even so, I was a pretty well behaved kid. I honestly think the harder you try to control kids/people, the more they push back.

Mmm, I'm reminded of a quote my grand father told me when i was very young before he died.
Successful people don’t relax in chairs, they relax in work, They sleep with dreams and awake with determination and commitment.
I remember those words because i try to live my life by them, if you seek to change things, you must do so within the system, if you wish to follow your passions, make them reality.
Apathy, Stagnation and reckless abandon will lead you nowhere but ruin.

Same here, though this is the attitude for my entire family. my mother jokingly calls us the modern day Addams family.

I'd advise those people to study history then and see that civilization, peace it self is an unnatural state of man.
I'd advise them to see the cost of crafting and keeping both.
:/ It's easy to judge bulwarks that keep everything you know within them secured and safe, and cite them for being confining but else is there?
Let it crumble into ash and dust?

I wish, man. Though having a disembodied hand would be a leeeeeetle unnerving after watching Silent Hills playthroughs.
Incidentally, what dollmaker did you use for your avatar?

I can understand the need for such things, I study criminal justice after all.
but when pushed too hard I really do believe the result can be worse than when handled with more tolerance.

And, this is when your mother says "Was it really your xbox to begin with?". Oh, how I love when my parents remind me that made me so me and everything I own is really theirs. I guess children can be a return investment.

I'm an only child, so I get the full brunt of the both of them doing this, and I bought my own console. That said, I am willing to loan it to her for my get mum to play DA experiment.-I see me losing my PS3.

The computers at my parents' can't run games like DA so the only way I could get them to play when I visit them would be on my laptop. No way then xD

I make sure to buy my own consoles so that never happens.
I made that mistake with a PC my dad went half in to get for me to game on. Whenever I say "my PC" he corrects me and says "our PC". ![]()
