Do we have a concrete age on how old our PC is going to be? Would kind of help with the tweaking I'm doing to my characters somewhat backstory *sigh* Poor Tabatha you shall be missed but I will try to save your character yet I promise.

I think the range is between 20-40. I don't know if it's just implied, decided based on background or if there is an age slider like in the Fallout series.

Hawke was in his/her 20s and if the warden was too than I'd say it's save to assume that 20s would be a good age for the Quizzy. But yeah 20s-40s is probably a save bet

Such a large age range though, I didn't think our PC would be that young since it seems our companions look like they'll be older just seems a tad odd to me. Hmmm well looks like thats something I'll just have to wait for November for to find out I suppose.

20-40 would fit a lot of the community age wise

Its lovely Ajna. And I'm pretty sure we heard from Weekes that 20-40 is the most likely age range for the Quizzy.
Adessa is for sure in her early 20s, though she is going to be my youngest inquisitor most likely. Her and Odette.

It's perfect! There are all kinds of horns...this will keep me quiet for a while...
She does look nice doesn't she? I have about 79784837 cosmetic mods installed, she started out life as a wood elf lol. I'd been trying not to fire up Skyrim because every time I do, something new breaks...this time it's the mod that puts staves and shields on backs and allows dual wielding..*sigh* it's a favourite of mine too...

As for the Cadash back story, It REALLY isn't making thing too difficult in changing Adessa's back story. If we have the option to be against the Cadash family's expectation (I.E Cadash is doing what they have to survive by being in the Carta and never liked being apart of the crime family).
I mean, the humans can decide if they like the Chantry or not. I'd hope the Dwarves would have the choice in chosing if they took pride in being from a family full of crime or not.
if not I admit I will be pretty upset because that's just unfair. I want the option to play a good guy dwarf from the beginning, not perhaps change as time comes.

You can. You can be an upstanding person but circumstances of birth forced you into a life of crime. The Inquisition will allow you to realize your potential as a force of good. ![]()

I want the option to be a Cadash that never liked it and maybe has a moral compass of what is okay and not okay with the crimes, not for it to be set in stone that they've never cared you know?
Though when I play my Enias Cadash she will be like "YEAH ANARCHY" and love being apart of a crime family. xD

Exactly, I don't see why our Cadash's can't be nice people. I mean if my casteless dwarf could come out of Orzammar and have compassion for a whole world she didn't know, I don't see why someone who's lived on the surface all his/her life would lack the same sort of compassion.

I'm going to play my Cadash as someone striving to drag themselves out of the life of crime. She's a good person, sassy and explosive..quite literally
...but good.

Got to say out of the back stories the dwarf one is the one that threw a wrench in my works the most unless we're high up in the family I fear I may have to make Tabatha a little less savvy then I had planned. Since I have a hard time picturing her being very well educated if she's low on the Carta family food chain. I suppose I could make it work for Valeria though since she is a survive and have a good time type of dwarf. Cahal will need some rewrites as well since I imagined him to be very noble and honorable, kind of hard to pull that off with being part of a ruthless crime family.

For me, personally, I don't see why being a part of a crime family will hinder intelligence. It won't for Adessa who would have looked outside of the life of crime and gained her intelligence. She will still be my nerdquisitor in every aspect. And I am honestly excited for being a part of a family that she perhaps disagrees with for the most part due to their behavior and what they might consider okay when she doesn't.
I mean, my brosca hated how her mother was a drunk and how she was so cold towards her--but Kanani loved her family more than anything despite that, even her mother. Casteless dwarves can want to become more than what they were and not like having their sister live that kind of life , as well as disliking themselves. They play with the cards they've been dealt but they can and do become more when they choose it. : )
just my thoughts on it

None of this was outside of my expectations. I was really, really hoping for a Kal'sharok dwarf, though. Does anyone know if we're going there?
Also, Cadash feels a bit too much like Brosca, ON THE SURFACE. Really would have preferred a merchant family, neither noble nor commoner, or something.

After doing that Inquisitor Meme, I really have a this idea that Vollna Cadash gets much more pleasure from crafting than killing. She's a warrior but a creator first. Living a life of crime is that of a taker, not a creator. She doesn't like it. I'm pretty sure the writers would allow wiggle room for our quizzies to like or dislike their live's before so I'm really gunning for that as the only backstory I can go off from. It's a good start ![]()

I just have a hard time thinking of where she could have gotten this education outside of the family especially if she's a grunt is all. I'm probably wording it to not make any sense I tend to do that a lot. Though we are on the surface so I suppose she could get access to more books and educational tools than Brosca could in DAO. I just kind of thought/assumed/hoped that Cadash would have been from a merchant family instead something else that would just kind of fit the well educated dwarf diva fashionista I had in my head. Maybe I just have a limited imagination but I just have a hard time picturing that if she is only a grunt in the Carta family now if she was higher up I could see it a little bit better but I have a feeling that might not happen. If any of that remotely makes any sense^^;

Where there's a will, there's a way. So, you have a Dwarf who does grunt work in the Carta, but you want her to be a lady of fashion and education? Easy. She has to spy on people, right? Well, she can listen to what they're saying, but also how they're saying it. She can watch how they dress and act. She can learn to read from a target.
Cadash: You want to live? Then you'll teach me to read! And not a word to anyone about this, or *drag finger across throat.*
Imagine her practicing walking daintily in front of a mirror, or talking to herself to perfect proper diction. She has a secret stash of books and a pretty dress that she keeps hidden somewhere.
The possibilities are endless! (I kinda want to make that character now.
