I actually have that problem with the Dalish origin. I played the intro, got the Ostagar, lost interest. I think it's partly due to the fact that I've already spammed it enough on me Dorfs. <.<
Which is why I'm happy to play a Dalish Elf Quizzy this time around. I completely finished City Elf so now I can finally have a good shot of seeing the other side.

I'll probably make it a simple rose and place it behind the butterfly. It might get a bit crowded though so I'll use a light pencil if I want to try it. I'll keep the butterfly since you like it.

Female City Elf was the best origin in DAO in my opinion.

It was my favorite too! I'm not sure if it was my second or third playthrough, but I remember that it's with the city elf that I started to like Leliana too. (my Cousland hated her) That innocently bigoted statement and how she accepts the criticism for it. People who can learn and improve themselves are always good.
For me, the city elf origin was okay and my favourites were the Dalish and Dwarf commoner origins.

Nothing can stand against the Dwarven Noble!
Just because I feel like that Origin could have the most Impact on the Game after Ostagar. Even more than the human Noble. But that's subjective.

Honestly, City Elf would out beat Dalish if it made more of an impact in DA2. They don't even really mention the fact my Ultimate Sacrifice Tabris was from the alienage. Like it doesn't matter

The Circle of Magi Origin always seems tedious to me.
But I just finished an Origins play through as a mage (Im playing Awakening now) and I love the character I made, and her being so kind, generous, and also a bad a** Arcane Warrior Blood Mage might just make her one of my canons. Depends how it transfers into the Hawke I make. : )

Hm... I never though about putting the Origins in order of preference, but if I'm gonna be honest, I think the Dwarven origin stories were the most interesting by far, and I really wasn't very fond of the Magi origin story. So... I'd say
Dwarven Noble (even though it makes me mad every time and I still can't put Bhelen in charge even though its better for Orzammar)

The bottom three were hard to order since I'm not too crazy about any of them^^;
The only ones I find... for lack of a better word... boring, are the human and magi origins. Plus, if you put me in the fade right off the bat, I'm just going to hate you, sorry. >.> That's how it works.
I like both Elf origins, but I guess I just prefer the Dalish because I like their lifestyle more. I hate seeing the environment and treatment of the city elves, although the origin story for it was really cool, and messed up... but the chance for revenge always makes it sweeter. XD I loved playing my city elf and revisiting... poor Alistair, I still remember his voice when he said "wait, you were married?" No Alistair, just engaged! for a very short period of time. I never thought it really mattered much.
