Ah, the Varric VS Oghren thread.
I can't do VS threads. Oddly enough I love and hate every character equally in their own way.
I admit I start out with a preference depending on how my starting character is but my opinions drastically change and weave my feelings by the second or third play through.

 

I like how flexible you are with your playthroughs.  My goal for DAI is to make each of my characters as unique as possible, it's something I admittedly haven't done well in the previous games. I would like to see how my opinions of characters change depending on what kind of person I'm playing as.

No one is surprised by this announcement, but I gotta say I love Indira Varma as Vivienne even more than I was expecting. I'm really impressed by her voice acting in that video they released, in regards to both her skills and what a perfect fit she is for Viv. Seriously, just listen to the way her intonation shifts throughout the video...her delivery is really spot on.

 

I was on tumblr and someone asked David Gaider if there's any kind of astronomy or constellations in Theda's, to which he answered yes. He also said the question was well timed and that astronomy will come up at length soon.

I'm excited about this too. I'm wondering exactly how they are incorporating this into the game. Who knows, maybe we'll actually get a good look at the night sky in Thedas for a change (I don't think we've seen that much of it, before, have we?).

 

Doesn't surprise me, given the tarot theme they've been using.   It would be kinda cool if we could pick a star sign for our character like they did in Oblivion.

He'd be my favorite too... if he hadn't murdered an entire innocent family, including children, because he lost his sword.  I only even let him out of the cage because we got more use out of him by throwing him at the Darkspawn.

considering the society he is involved with, while I don't agree with his actions , it's not too surprising. But, I also respect he does admit he's failed and at fault. I grew to respect and see more to him after that.

As a person i don't mind him, but he is the enemy and i never forgot that bit.

 

Qunari, The Imperium, Darkspawn, Elves and now Demons the list of enemies just continues to get longer in dragon age.

I like Sten, and I believed he was truly ashamed of his actions, but with him still pretty devout to the Qun, we didn't agree much. I'm glad we got the chance to at least earn his respect in the end though, and possibly change some of his views. If I could let the assassin who tried to kill me in cold blood on my team, I could accept the guy who truly felt guilty. I haven't met Bull yet so he could become my favorite qunari, but for now it remains Sten because he's the one I know best.

Well, who is truly the "enemy" remains subjective on different experiences and viewpoints. I consider anyone who tries to **** me over my enemy. They could be an abomination with 5 arms and 17 eyes but as long as they leave me and others alone I don't give a crap lol. On the other hand they could be a faithful Andrastian but if they are an asshat who hurts people they're going down.

well, I look at the individual, if given the chance. Not every qunari is of the Qun, and not everyone of the Qun is horrible. I don't agree with  the ideologies of most real world religions, but I don't choose to automatically count everyone under those faiths as my enemy. I don't see The Circle as any better, personally.

I second this, The Qunari are not really our enemy yet, sure they attacked in Kirkwall. But they were kind of pushed into that. I respect the Qunari, they're not our friends, but they aren't quite our enemy either.

 

Also...elves are an enemy ? lolwut, can you elaborate on that Z ?
