Mike: It's something we're careful with.  When we begun developing Inquisition, we put a lot of weight on fan feedback. We went with out gut feeling on what people hold dear when it comes to Dragon Age. We know that the fans will not like it if we remove some things. Varric is one of those, many fans want to fall in love with him but others don't. So when we say no now, it's a clear no.

So out of the 3 I was hoping for, that's one shot down, one positive and one still very much unclear on if my Dorf can romance him. So I still have to wait for the racegating news before I can be 100% sure.

 

I'm convinced Solas is an LI, so the race is between Viv and Blackwall. And as much as I adore Aimo, I think the last LI is Viv.

Saw the mention of Inquisition after I asked.

I don't understand. They won't say anything to us because of "marketing," but can spill the beans to someone else? I'm confused. I really don't see the benefit there.

One silver lining to all this is that I can finally put this doubt to rest. It gives a bit of calm to the mind, even if it's not really what I wanted to hear. And ye I think it's Solas and Viv.

There is no confirmation on Solas as a LI. The only mention of him is when they use him as an example when discussing the approval system. Let's not get the Solas thread's hopes up too high (Although I think it's likely he's a LI).

Mike: Vi har rört oss ifrån mycket av stelheten i de tidigare romanserna. Om du säger något kommer dina följeslagare fortfarande att reagera på det. Säger du något elakt till en alv kommer till exempel karaktären Solas ogilla det, men det står inte längre ”-10”. Det är alltså inga nummer som dras av som tidigare. Det gjorde att upplevelsen kändes lite billig.

It's not a numbers game anymore because that made the whole experience feel cheaper. 

To me, that's pretty much a confirmation. He could have used Bull and the qunari, but he chose to use Solas. It's the first one they mention when they talk about romances.
