I'm crossing my fingers that Iron Bull will be awesome enough to distract me from the fact that he's not my first choice.
(One of the main reasons I feel sad about this is that now my male dwarf won't get to #ridethebull. I mean, sure, I could romance him twice, but with eight romances I'm only planning to do each one once. So, um ... Solas, I guess? Already got a male qunari in mind for Dorian.)

Well that was a fantastic thing to wake up to. First, my anger.
To anyone who insisted to Varricmancers that we should just 'let it go' that was INCREDIBLY RUDE AND SELFISH. Really, how insensitive can you be? Many of us have been waiting FOR YEARS. To not even give the group day of sadness is so inconsiderate it made my blood boil. So please bug off.
Second, my in between anger. Really, Bioware marketing, we waited this long for a no? :/
Third, love. All of you positive people of the Varric thread are wonderful, kind people and I'm just as sad for you as I am for me. I'm on my phone and sadly cannot post the hugs I want but I'm sending out the love. I'll still be around to share the Varric love, it'll be bittersweet but it'll be with you all so it won't be so bad
Fourth, the skeptical. On the bright side Gaider said that we may get a dwarf romance in the future, so yay? Also, guys, I could be wrong, but I still think Bianca is dead. Can't shake the feeling. Maybe he's still smitten? Idk, it better be good lol
Fifth, I have no ideas on who Vollna is gonna romance now. Any ideas? And no unconfirmed either, not even gonna go there.

I was, at first, entirely sure that Varric would be an LI... but the dev comments that were sent to me about his unliklihood as well as Solas' VA tweets about romance made me doubt it all. I kinda still hoped for it, though, despite me wanting a Solas LI too. Bah.

Ugh, I gotta put my tinfoil hat on now. I was counting on Varric to be a logical gated option, so now I'm really confused. The 2 characters that made the most sense are out of the running. Gated characters were apparently decided by throwing noodles at a wall.

It could still be that Vivienne is gated against elves because she cares about her standing in the Game too much, but I can't for the life of me work out who the other gated option would be in that case.

For one, the fact that we get a Qunari LI but still no dwarf. If there is any dwarf specific gating (or maybe dwarves and another race even) I'll be a bit miffed. My favorite race better not get shafted.
Secondly , I am a bit bothered by how long they dragged it out. Okay a bit is an understatement. Most, if not all the people who wanted a Varric romance were loyal fans from DA2. We deserved the let down earlier and an official translation of the article at least for all fans. Not relying on google translate
