Because I'm a nerd and can't help myself: Chris or Leon? Personally, I prefer Leon, but I love both of them.

 

And just so this post isn't devoid of Varric, I have to ask. How does everyone feel about this game having the option of equipping Varric with daggers? I have mixed feelings. I mean... I don't know if I'll be able to do it. I won't really need another ranged character, but... Varric without Bianca just seems... wrong.

 

Chris will always have my heart, Leon is close second.

 

Hmmm, if it gets him away from the Bianca fixation, it's unhealthy. I would not mind seeing those muscles ripple either... Hell yeah.

Then it would be my luck that he would name one of them Bianca...and the other Hawke? Hahaha.

Varric without Bianca seems like such a waste. Even without the back story, it's a shame not to use such a cool unique weapon.

I'm still of the assumption that the ability to make Varric use weapons other than Bianca implies more about his story... it just seems like a big waste (like Ynqve said) unless there is a reason

Outlast is amazing. If you want more scare and less action, try it. Sorry, getting off-topic... the horror-nerd in me is just surfacing from all this talk of RE and Outlast.

Idk, I'm pretty sure I would trade that character for the improvement on gameplay anyday, RE1 was super hard not to die in. (or maybe I was just bad at it )

I got so good at RE1 that I found it boring for a time. But some people can't get used to my beloved tank controls

 

Then they did remake and introduced crimson heads (I actually replayed Remake a few months ago ugh, so scared of Crimson heads forreal).

That's kind of what I am thinking. Honestly, I can see it breaking, also, which would lead to us having to find Bianca is she is still alive to fix it... (I'm wildly speculating)

 

Oooor, he just moves on on his own and can use the daggers and its a sign for the player to know that he is okay. I'll cry if he ever calls Bianca just a crossbow (even though I had it in my fanfic) and puts her down to use daggers

I just want to hug Leon. He needs it. Oh God, I loved Jake and Sherry. And Chris. And Sheva. And I want Rebecca and Billy back... I just have so MANY feels about all the RE characters. 

 

The daggers are a nice option. I'm glad they added it, but I don't know if I'll be able to take advantage of it. I might have to since my party's looking like it'll be my mage!inquisitor, Dorian, Varric, and Iron Bull. I don't know if it'll work out having 3 ranged characters, but... I'll have to try. I don't know if I can take Bianca from him.

Perhaps, but Varric's practical, and this is a world where knives are tools and not exclusively weapons.

He's had conversations with Izzy about Daggers before, so I guess he uses them, he just didn't tend to favor them in DA2 (he's like Garrus, he prefers a good bit of distance between him and the enemy). But I think he's flexible enough to start using them more often if the inquisitor, who's technically his boss, tells him to.

I don't know who i'll take. If I go completely biased it will be Varric, Vivienne, Sera/Cassandra (switching them off). But I do try to change up the party haha

Very salty... Some people take how serious they are about those things to a whole other level. They were practically ranting about Leon being overrated. I was like "overrated?! everyone makes fun of how corny he is! I just love him because of it!" lol

You might need them... I don't get scared easily. This was the first game that made me actually scream like a kid on multiple occasions in years. Let me know what you think of it!

Yeah. I mean, I'm bitter about people using Bianca as an excuse, but I still have love for the Varric/Crossbow combination, haha

I think they said you can't.  You can equip daggers, but he keeps Bianca.

Someone described Varric is being grump in DA2, he just covers it with humor, and it's true.  More things bother Varric than he lets on, and he hides what he feels very well.  It probably stems from his upbringing, being the only one to look after his alcoholic mother. 

 

Suddenly I want him to be a LI more than ever, because I think he and Warden Brosca have a lot to talk about.

But that would only work if they had those type of personalities for one. Diplomatic personalities (if they have something like that again) believed in justice yes but were nothing like Aveline .

NOPE! Not selling Bianca. If I must take it away from him, she will go into storage, much like Aveline's husband's shield. Of course, she still commented on that, so Varric probably will too.

I hope so, selling Bianca would be almost as evil as killing the mabari in Ostagar.
