Yeah, I don't know, I do find it silly. Varric would remain the Bianca-loving BFF sort for most of my playthroughs, absolutely, but I don't quite follow how it couldn't be written for me and for the Varricmancers just the same. Doesn't seem like a hill BioWare hasn't climbed in the past.

 

I mean, I know, eight romances this time. Nothing but the best on them for pulling that off, especially if they all end up good. Still, though...

 

Yeah. Was pretty shocked, meself, when they announced 8 romances. Only worried that they'll be as base as DA2 romances are compares to Origins ones. Actually, I am pretty scawed that they will be... with 8 romances. DA2 romances were great but ssooo fewer scenes to Origins.

It would be sweet, I mean, I have no doubt that he would have a beard rather than almost a beard like Varric (It's a Varric thing for me, not a dwarf one), but it would be sweet and I would probably have a lot of trouble not falling for it...

I really really wish they said this months ago. And as for the helpful people popping in with such helpful remarks as "knew he wasn't an LI/ you guys should have seen it coming" REAL classy. Tumblr is worse but at least MOST fans are being kind about it so thank you so much for the nice words.

So I thought I would feel better after some sleep and I really really don't, and I don't even think its so much about Varric not being an LI at all as more of it having to do with the marketing with how the information is being released and why it was waited until this far in to announce it. I feel actually very angry just thinking about it.
