I am another Solas fan and I do want to say I'm sorry that Varric is not an LI option. But at least we have him in the game again,he is an Awesome character and him and my Inquisitors are going to be best buds just like my Hawke was.

By the by, obviously Varric will trigger with Flechette's powers (they both have technologically superior crossbows and are super awesome), but opinions on any and everyone else's triggers would be welcome: in particular Aveline and Merrill.
From what I've seen everyone is so upset because Bioware waited this long to tell everyone, so many got their hopes up really high--which is completely understandable and, intentional or not, was kind of sucky of Bioware to do. Hugs to everyone.

Its the EA marketing team that makese these decisions. Not Bioware.
And they aren't close with fans like the Bioware devs are. They simply think from a strategic point.

We'll see. I'm open to Iron Bull or Dorian surprising me. Hell, it's not like I think any of them are bad characters, and I'll probably enjoy their romance arcs. Just not really feeling any of the characters right now.

Shame about Varric, it would have been nice to have him as a LI. I just hope his personal quest isn't to reunite him with Bianca the person because I'll pass on that. I already reunited one dwarf with his long lost love, not doing it again.
