As I said in the Blackwall thread, him being a LI really don't work with his character. He's and old Grey Warden who joined the Wardens because the isolation hold an ideal he was proud of. I was always planning on romancing Dorian first, so that won't change. Varric was going to be my second though, so now it'll depend. Second will either be Cullen or Iron Bull, depending on whose personality and story I like best from my playthrough with Dorian.
To be honest, I'm pretty open with my options so far. If we're talking Isileth Adaar (and I usually am) then I've tentatively identified her as pan so she can go wherever the fancy takes me! Which puts Dorian and Cassandra out of the, uh, running - out of the two of them, I'm more bummed about Cass because that would've been awesome. Should be good as friends though, right? Same with Dorian. Any of the others seems good to me, though Sera looks like the too-easy choice to take; she sounds like fun and feels like a typical LI for me, kinda, so too obvious!
It's all down to how it go in the game; who feels right or who is most interesting.

It's a website where people can start a blog and add whatever they feel like to it. Movies, pictures, text, etc. People use the search engine to find their favorite things (like dragon age) and to follow the people they enjoy seeing their posts the most. People can add 'tags' to their post so it's easier to find.
Like with every site with passionate fans, you'll have people who go overboard. So when we say Tumblr is being a jerk, it just means some people are making nasty comments under the DA:I tag search.

It's a thing.) The one I'm really up in the air about at the moment is my future M!Cadash - I'd been hoping for Femme!Cadash/Varric and M!Cadash/Iron Bull, but obviously that's not going to work now. I already have another character in mind for Dorian so ... Solas, I guess? Eh.

To be honest, I have no idea who I'm romancing in my first play through. I want to romance Dorian but I want my first go to be a female dwarf so that's on hold. Varric was the only one I was 100% all systems go for.
In a way I guess this fits. I've gone into each DA game before knowing little about the characters and who would interest me so walking in semi blind as to who my Vollna Cadash will be with (or not?) will be a new adventure.

I would have been happy with ANY male dwarf to romance. I honestly hate playing my dwarf and romancing someone so much taller. So for me unless one of the characters really grab my attention I won't be playing her at all until I do a no romance run same as I did with DA:O. Part of me understands why he is not a option but he was pretty much the only option unless they pull a dwarf from a hat somewhere *goes to look for hidden male dwarfs in DA:I*.

I am planning a female Dwarf run to romance Sera (as long as she is not race gated to Dwarves) But as you said I will play her no matter what. My fav playthorugh of DAO is still my female Dwarf Noble.
Well, just chiming in to this thread and offer my condolences to those who were really hoping for a Varric romance. I, for one, am INCREDIBLY disappointed. Not that Varric isn't a LI. I trust that Bioware has their reasons for this. Personally, I'm hoping that he will have a shocking meet-up with Bianca(the woman) during the game. As disappointed as I was that Aveline was not a LI in DA2, her little side-romance with Donnic was very sweet and enjoyable. So this is my hope for Varric.
But what I am very disappointed in is that this continues Bioware's pattern of not having a dwarf LI. Ohgren, Sigrun, Varric. Three dwarven companions, all with interesting personalities. All with perfectly valid story reasons why they are not LIs. I really hope that Bioware can include a dwarf(preferably female) who is a LI in the next game. I'm tired of humans and elves getting all the love.
Heck, Qunaris have gotten a LI before us dwarf fans.
I'll enjoy DA:I a great deal. I am not angry at the devs. Just voicing my displeasure at a consistent design choice that they keep making. Varric was never a LI beyond my dwarf Inquisitors. However, he was the driving force behind my playing a dwarf first. For once I wanted to see a dwarf/dwarf romance for a PC. Varric seemed a prime opportunity, given that Bioware knew how much demand there was for it. So I'm really curious as to the story reasons they have for it not happening.
