How COOL would it be if they make it that our Cadash Inquisitor knows Bianca.  Cadash works for the Carta.  What little we know of Bianca if she is alive she is with the Carta.  That would be SO cool and add some nice spice to Varric's personal missions if we play a Cadash.

I'd have been happy with any dwarf romance at all. (I mean, I prefer dudes in real life and usually play a straight woman first in games. But I've been waiting fifteen years to be able to play a dwarf and romance another dwarf. I figure I can't afford to be picky about it. Hell, at this point, I would even throw a party if they gave me an Oghren romance.)

 

My fav playthorugh of DAO is still my female Dwarf Noble.

Yeah, I hope this is the case now, at least. Would be cool if Varric (probably introducing a companion quest) starts talking about Bianca and our Inquisitor goes, "Wait...I know a Bianca!" If I can't love Varric, I hope to at least bring him together with his love.

I would have been happy with ANY male dwarf to romance. I honestly hate playing my dwarf and romancing someone so much taller. So for me unless one of the characters really grab my attention I won't be playing her at all until I do a no romance run same as I did with DA:O. Part of me understands why he is not a option but he was pretty much the only option unless they pull a dwarf from a hat somewhere *goes to look for hidden male dwarfs in DA:I*.

We can hope for next game. Maybe seeing the outcry for dwarf lovin' will convince them? Maybe? Lol

I can't agree. Someone being so totally drunk all the time isn't very attractive to me. I felt that Orghen represented all the stereotypical ideas of what a dwarf is- drunk, strong, not altogether bright.

I'd like to see a dwarf LI who's proud of their heritage and is also (mostly) sober lol

Well, that's not entirely fair. Gaider said he wasn't going to go out of his way to write one, and if a dwarven character came up as a potential LI, he'd do it. I still don't expect it to happen, but it's not because they're completely opposed to the idea.

I haven't been really active in the fandom, so if he did make a comment to that effect, it's not really a surprise if I missed it. But - and I'm not directing this at you, please don't take this personally - the way rumors tend to get passed around the DA fandom, particularly around BSN, information tends to take on a life of its own. I've seen someone post info from the devs, someone else misquote them, and then someone else spin off that misquote and start jumping to wild conclusions, all in the span of five posts. And then those rumors take over half the forum. Nothing personal, I'm not accusing you of lying or anything like it, I'm just skeptical of this particular factoid.

Solas does have an interesting design (no pretty boy elf like Zevran and Fenris) and his Fade workings also grabbed my interest even before I considered him an LI. I hope he's less broody and more nerd.

Yeah, I don't feel him as broody at all, I kinda see him as chilled out and nerdy..

Yeah, all male elves are queer is not exactly a brilliant thing to do either. Or all wardens in a main game are romances (if Blackwall turns out to be a LI). Or how all women except for the old LI are romances (if Vivienne is a LI). But we'll see when the game comes out. 

 

I almost said that I want them to shake things up a little, but eh. They may already have done so, we just don't know it yet.

So, just to get conversation going. Now that we know that Varric isn't an LI, who are you guys planning to romance ? I'm hoping for Blackwall, but it's not likely he'll be an LI. I suppose I can go with Dorian on my first playthrough. Assuming he's not gated to Dwarves. 

 

Now that Varric is a no go I'm hoping Tabatha can romance Vivienne assuming she's a bisexual LI who isn't gated from dwarfs if thats not the case then I don't know know Tabatha will just have to be alone, I've grown to adore the idea of her too much not to use her now. I will put her playthrough on hold though and see if I can find another that might fit her better but I'm having a bad feeling I won't.

Shhh about Blackwall I can't take so much pain at once TT~TT
