Welp. I've been very busy these last few days and only just got the bad new .

 

I'm trying to look on the bright side of things. Combat wise I suppose I'm better off, taking Varric everywhere with me (as I'm apt to do with my LIs) would have made it hard to play with Sera or Cole without unbalancing the party (since I'd also be playing a rogue), romancing Bull or Solas will make putting together parties much easier. 

 

*hugs* Sorry hun, I know... it stinks. But very true, there's some silver linings I suppose.

I dont know who to take in my party. Cant choose between Viv or Solas, Cass or Blackwall, Sera or Varric. Maybe I'll go for two mages.

well, im having trouble deciding between sera and varric, although i think im going to swap them in and out a lot.... unless sera makes me angry.... or gets thrown around like a rag doll a lot, like she does in all the trailers.... then i might have to take varric to give her a break

I for one will go for a rogue so i will take, Varric, iron bull, and Viv with me for my first playthrough,so that means i will have 2 rogues in the party (on that playthrough atleast). imo just don´t leave a class behind and you should be fine in a gameplay perspective atleast

The fact that I'm switching it up and playing a lot of mages first this time around helps, since I plan on taking Bull and Sera around with me a lot.

I'm gonna be an Artificer Rogue most likely. The idea of traps appeals to me. Which means I would like to have 2 ranged to back me up and 1 tank to distract the big bad guys.

 

I will definitely mix them up and bring along everyone though.

I'm going to be a rift mage/knight enchanter and my party will be Varric, Iron Bull and Sera/Solas- Yes, I've joined them-, but I'll probably use everyone.

I'm taking Dorian, Varric and Bull I think. Or go full team Fab and swap Bull for Vivienne. I don't know, it's going to be a nightmare to pick your team in this game, I want to bring them all! xD Oh, and I'm so happy that I can go full mage squad, burninating the entire countryside? Hell yeah!

Unless it turns out that Bull and Varric are more like Fenris and Anders than Alistair and Morrigan or Isabela and Aveline, in which case I'll have to separate them. I mean, I don't think that will be the case, but I can't stand having companions who hate each other in a non-entertaining way in the party together.

 

If it turns out they can't get along at all ... well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I guess I'd have to swap Varric out for Sera or Dorian. (I generally take my LI everywhere, so ... yeah.)

I'm going Dorian, Bull, and I'll alternate between Cole and Varric. I can't pick between the two. Varric is my bro and Cole just seems like such an interesting character.

Heh, yeah. I'm thinking it will just result in extra snark from both sides and could actually be fun - having Morrigan and Alistair together was highly entertaining, after all. And given that Iron Bull is really joining up because he wants to help people and seems to be potentially moving away from the Qun, maybe they'll even be like Aveline and Isabela and end up as bros. That would be great.

 

I just feel like I need a back-up plan in case they're like oil and water. I mean, it made sense for Anders and Fenris to feel the way they did given their history, it was just the opposite of fun.

So that playthrough just makes me sad. My other is a Female rogue who romanced Sebastian. You could always keep Anders alive in the Keep, if you still regret it.

I don't remember my first Hawke well aside from who I romanced (which was no one... xD). I will just go with whatever feels right like I usually would in a playthrough. I won't cheat though unless I truly don't remember. This includes not giving Varric the red lyrium, killing Bartrand, helping Isabela and so forth.

 

I do have a write up of my most interesting Hawke. She's considered the 'bad' Hawke so I might do that for my second run to shake things up.

Yeah, I get that. I'm in a similar position. Do I want to keep the fact that I allowed Isolde to sacrifice herself only for me to make a deal with the demon? I felt terrible about that, but I wanted to unlock blood magic...

Had I known at the time that I could do so, then I would have done it too xD I felt like such a bad person. My warden was a nice person. Sure she did a few questionable things (like keeping the anvil and siding with the Architect), but most of the time she was a good person. So that decision was kind of OOC for her.

God, I'm looking forward to this. I really hope this happens. And since I plan on having both my LI (Dorian) and Varric with me at all times, I hope it pops up in some banter. Of course, since Iron Bull will be there too, maybe he'll join in too. Hell, maybe that'll be what makes Varric and Iron Bull start to kind of get along: mutual picking on my Inquisitor's relationship with Dorian.

Well hopefully since they've seen how many people wanted to romance Varric. They'll have a dwarven romance in the next game. It probably won't be Varric. But I've yet to see a dwarven companion I didn't like. (Oghren got slightly annoying in Awakening, but he was great in Origins.)

I actually had my character be a goody two shoes mage. Devout, circle supporter, went to Irving when Jowan asked for help escaping. But I got to the part with the demon and decided I'd use that moment as the beginning of her slow fall into darkness. She learned blood magic from the demon and it was all down hill from there. Really fun playthrough.
