I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of digitally coloring.  It involves a lot of layers that sometimes confuses me, but that's okay.

 

How is everyone?

Keep demo?! o_o really? Saweeeet. I really wish I could get into the keep... I guess writing "I LOVE DRAGON AGE" for the reason why I should be allowed into it wasn't really very convincing, in retrospect...

One of these days I'll actually try to try to draw.  Or start to.  Starting is the hardest part, I think.  I need to look for something that gives good pointers/guidance, or at least I think I do.  I used to be slightly okay at drawing stuff I could see or copy but that was a loooooooooooooooong time ago.

Things are good, despite being home invaded by two friends who came from Crayfish party nearby. Both are passed out xD

That's so true, the hard part is getting started. And then you just need to keep going, practice makes perfect. But honestly, guides can only take you so far. Peer reviews are so much more helpful in my experience, even if it's frightening sometimes.

It is! It's tough to get motivated, especially when you see so many talented people online. Lots of great tutorials on Deviantart I've seen. Sometimes I look up references on there, whether it be poses, eyes, noses, ect.  If you even have the slightest bit of artistic talent, you can really develop it through lots of practice. All you need to do to know that is look at all of my old drawings on Devart and see how... not as good I used to be. xD;

There is all sorts of safety measures you need to do first, like protection symbols, praying or staying here.

 

They do if they're me and have an accidental click cause i"m not using a real mouse. Though I'm attempting to be more careful now. And maybe never leaving this site for anything Bioware related again.

This place is far nicer than any general gaming forums I've ever seen... I mean, we get the occasional jerk or troll sometimes, but those places are filled with them. It's nice to be here on a forum where everyone else is also a fan of the particular game/s, so you don't see nearly as much hate being posted.

Oooh happy birthday to them! My 21st was super fun, I hope theirs is as well. 

 

Also I feel dumb asking, but what's a crayfish party? Crayfish is food right? Or I know its also an animal, but is it like a party where you eat crayfish? I'm going to regret asking this for sounding stupid. XD

I might try and have a look on DevArt (which I'm writing that way instead of the more usual 'DA' to avoid confusion with this other  DA!) for tutorials.  I've looked at some starter books about drawing and there never really seems to be that much in them about early steps - it's always "start with this... two steps later, here's an amazing completed picture!"  Maybe at the weekend? Hmm...

It's a tradition over here. In august you have parties where you eat crayfish, drink (a lot) and sing songs. It's fun and all but it usually ends up with everyone being extremely drunk. But I can't eat crayfish, I find them disgusting. I usually order pizza xD

It'll be an experience, she's from New Zealand and has never experienced Scottish drinking before, I'm wishing her good luck.

 

A crayfish is similar to a prawn or shrimp, a bit like a small lobster.

Haha, I couldn't really come up with any good reasons why I should be allowed into the Keep. I ended up staring at the screen for a few minutes before I gave up and wrote this:

 

Because I have a mighty need to play anything Dragon Age. A MIGHTY NEED!! *grabby hands*

 

Also, "Enchantment!"..... so there's that.

 

Yeaaaah, I'm an idiot but I'm okay with that. lol

 

Honestly, I'm really looking forward to seeing Skyhold! I hope they show it at PAX tomorrow. please. oh please Bioware! *wishes on all the stars*
