Varricmancers, I was actually hoping Varric wouldn't be a romance before because I thought he would be straight and that Solas was the best chance for balance. Now neither of us got what we wanted. I'm sorry for you guys, and I feel your pain.

Aww, I'm really sorry that you're disappointed. I was SO sure that Solas was going to be BI, I was honestly in shock when I found out he was not only straight but super gated. We've had a BI elf in every game since Origins and I thought DA3 would keep tradition. I just did not see this coming at all, not even in the least bit! I love the Solas fandom and it's really difficult to see so many of you wonderful people sad.

The romance thread only has 14 pages and it's already turned into a haven for angry people. I wish they just wouldn't have a romance thread.

One of the things that took the pain away from losing Varric was the very real hope that we would get 2/4/2... I don't know what to think anymore. If Viv's straight then I don't know what I'll do.

I'm not even trying to say some people don't have a right to be upset. But their is really nothing good that can come from that thread and the type of disappointment aired in it. It just leads to confrontation.

It is a rather strange vibe in the romance thread.  It seems many people are still hoping for a bisexual BlackWall.  I think we can safely rule that out.  Straight females already have 3/8 options.  I highly doubt there will be another one.  

 

The only way I see it playing out is:

Straight vivienne

Gay blackwall

or

Bisexual Vivienne (which is sort of my prefrence)

 

I'm not even sure I would want to romance Blackwall and it would make everyone but gay males have 3 options if Viv was Bi.  I hate to be a part of the sexuality with the least options, but for me personally that's already happened regardless so I'm hoping for the last option to be the one that pleases the most people-numbers wise.

If Bioware racegates a previous known LI, the last LI should compensate it to give everyone at least 2 options. However it's more likely the last LI is racegated. Anything can happen really.

I like this chart better than the visual chart. Easier to follow for some reason.

Looking at the chart... Imagine if IB was still race gated for (presumably) dwarves and elves, there would be literally no choice of LI for gay or straight female dwarves, especially if Vivienne is the last LI! And that's why I think Blackwall will be the last LI, because DG has always stated everyone will have a choice, and before IB was ungated (only a couple of months ago, way after LI's had been agreed upon), straight female and gay male dwarf playthroughs had no choice beyond one!

I hadn't thought about it from that perspective much.  You may be correct on that.  Meh, I just hope they announce it soon and let us all figure out what to do with said information.  Also the next announcement better include all the details (like who the last race gate is).  It's over and done; time to move on!

Indeed.  I'm ready to start obsessing over new things. Like character builds and specializations etc.
