Okay... I missed a mage discussion (which is slightly annoying, I always miss those!) even though it didn't belong here.  Let's leave that behind.

Looking at the chart... Imagine if IB was still race gated for (presumably) dwarves and elves, there would be literally no choice of LI for gay or straight female dwarves, especially if Vivienne is the last LI! And that's why I think Blackwall will be the last LI, because DG has always stated everyone will have a choice, and before IB was ungated (only a couple of months ago, way after LI's had been agreed upon), straight female and gay male dwarf playthroughs had no choice beyond one!

 

I agree, that's what I've been thinking. It makes even more sense if Cullen is the last race gated option. But don't listen to me, all of my predictions have been completely wrong.

Apparently Mike Laidlaw wrote a blog that contains confirmation of Solas' romance status.  Mark Darrah thought that blog had already been posted, and accidentally let it slip the information about Solas being a race gated romance. 

 

We don't know what else is in that blog, but a lot of people are guessing it contains all the remaining information on the romance options in the game.  I hope they are correct.

Cautious optimism for now, it's possible. It's also possible that it's specifically about Solas. Have to wait and see.

I've seen some people make jokes about Blackwall being Dwarf only. I think it'd be pretty hilarious.

Just a little chart for myself.

If Bioware racegates a previous known LI, the last LI should compensate it to give everyone at least 2 options. However it's more likely the last LI is racegated. Anything can happen really.

Actually, you know I could see Vivi being bi and race gated against elves because she grew up in Orlais where "the game" is a big thing in high society. Being gay/lesbian isn't as big a deal as sleeping with a "rabbit" or "knife ear" ...

But again, just throwing in my 2 cents. At this point I don't much care either way for myself, just hoping everyone else will get something they like

Yes, but I was thinking that someone else might be gated against elf since Solas only wants to be with an elf women. Unless elf women just get an extra LI because .... They do. I don't know.

Yes we did Honestly, I think he's more likely to be gated against qunari but who knows!

It was because he called Oghren a heathen... But he's an ex-templar now, so it might not hold up. Plus if he's still devout, it'd leave off the Elves and Qunari too.

Yeah, but he could have a crush on an elf mage in DAO, so I could see him still being attractive to elves. He was raised to think dwarves and Qunari are heathens so he could be gated for dwarves and qunari because it was ingrained into his upbringing.

 

but i'm not set on any of my speculation anymore lol we'll find out hopefully soon so we can adjust to any cannon they give us.

Lost of confused sad/happy in Solasland right now, with occasional incursions from Biatchistan.  Meanwhile Blackwallshire and Vivtopia remain tense.

 

Oh, and I probably missed a Keep code by either seconds or, more likely, a few minutes.

If that happens, Blackwall needs to be available for Dwarves and Qunari.

 

So it really all hinges on who is the last LI.

This is my bet, since he was around for Kirkwall especially. Then again, Solas turned out to be much more restricted than I figured, could be if Cullen is the other race gate he might be really restricted too.

Maybe he likes elves but not the dalish? I don't know, if he's not into the elves in Inquisition that's the only explanation I can think of.
