seriously, I always thought he was just a childish man-child (which was endearing in its own ways but sometimes concerning)... but he practically was a child. I was 19 when the game came out so we were made for each-other! *totally just joking I promise* Now that I'm playing Origins again I guess I'll just pretend I didn't age any since then. XD

I don't know if it's weird that I actually like the fact that the LI's (and protagonist) are going to be much older in this game. I think Blackwall's supposed to be 40-45 years old, that's like twice my age xD

Here's a question, we know that Alistair is 1/2 human 1/2 elf and that the offspring of human/elf pairings look human but those children could have elf looking children down the line.

 

But do we know of any cannon breeding rules for any other cross race pairings? like could a elf and dwarf have a kid?

 

Yep, 19 or 20 depending on when his birthday is. I had always assumed he was more like 24-25. But it does make sense now that I think about it, with his personality.

I don't think it's weird, I like it too. I'm not like super older now or anything, but if the LI's were still like all 20, it would feel kinda... awkward. I liked that Bela and Anders were pretty clearly in their 30's in 2, it felt like a good age range that wasn't too old or young. 40+ is still stretching it out a bit far for me with Blackwall, Solas, Cullen, and Cass, but I'm not particularly against it. I do feel more comfortable romancing older than me than younger than me.

Speaking of Alistair and Steve Valentine. My mom and I was obsessed with Crossing Jordan in the early 00's. I almost fainted when I realized that Alistair was Nigel haha

Agreed! I liked the fact that Hawke was clearly older than my warden. And Shepard was around 30 and I never had a problem with that. I doubt I'll have a problem with an older cast in this game. 

 

Omg now that I think about it: romancing Carth as a 15 year old was very creepy. I remember how weird I felt when I met his kid. xD

Looks like I picked Tevinter back when we first posted those pictures. Interesting. xD I'll still take it over Kirkwall or Orlesian though. blerg.

I thought he was in his early 20's and just hadn't grown up yet. I was about the same age-18/19-, when I first played the game, so I guess we were on the same wave-length.......oh who am I kidding, I could have been in my 30's or 40's and still found his awkwardness and adorkableness endearing. Though I went in blind playing origins, I randomly picked it up a friends first due to the box art-I thought dragons cool- and he convinced me to play it and Alistair's romance kind of stunned me, I was like: 'What the...? Mark-my friend- why is this guy giving me a flower?, Is that a rose?...It isn't a rose???.... Oh wait, it is. What's he doing now? Did he just say that!!! Awwww!!!'. Best friend and game ever.

Yes. And a dwarf human pair if I remember correctly is a sort of hybrid, a slightly taller dwarf/ slightly shorter human. I'm looking for the post now, if I find it I'll post it.

It was interesting, to say the least xD I never realized he was so old until his kid showed up. Sure he talked about his wife but I figured he was around 30. And then it turns out he's got a teenager!

Haha xD I'm not going to spoil anything but it would be kind of hilarious if your character was 15 in that game. You should pick it up though, it's awesome.
