Yeah, This! I mean, myself, I was not really active on any forums again till recently because I was full time teaching. Now it's summer break and I'll be on maternity leave so my time is completely free. So I will be crying this whole time here ;P

Speaking of maternity, I'd like to name my first born son, Varric.

 

 

Oh and some very hot and NSFW stuff (there's a lot of NSFW stuff, actually...) just showed up on my dash involving Varric and femQunari.

I have a feeling once Varric's LI status is announced, this thread is going to pick up.  Whether it be with other posters celebrating with us, or sharing in the disappointment.  

 

As the OP of the Sera thread, I gotta tell you...nothing like announcing a romance to get a thread hopping.

Allan did an amazing job of helping with cleanup, but the majority of it was a bunch of self-identified men that said, "You took away Sera from us!  Now all we have is the man-jaw (Cass) or the uglyboring Vivienne to choose from.  BioWare commits straightphobia!"  The rest have been really nice and have expressed some mild disappointment and a lot of congratulations to the LGBTQ fans.

 

I'm glad that storm has largely passed and most seem to be getting over it.  I think if Varric is a LI, there is not going to be nearly as much drama.  Unless he's bisexual, then this thread could get very interesting indeed.

So do we know if Varric's hair color is finalized? I remember the original being blond. I still like his hair as it is, just wondering if they are planning to make it blond.

As far as I know, it's finally set.  In sunlight, his hair looks dark blonde.  He's ~40 years old or so now, so his hair could have darkened a little with age.  I'm just glad it isn't that dark red from the screenshots from last year.

It's actually a much nicer place to be again.  The only point of contention is that Sera doesn't like Cole.  Believe me, I'm sick of it.

And as for the Sera/Cole thing I'm sure I've given my two cents bout it (In short, it doesn't change how I like either of them and having party members at an odd with each other is expected. They can't all love each other )

Well, I would name my first born daughter Bianca IF she wasn't Varric's ex. After insult comedienne and fab drag queen, Bianca Del Rio.

 

So the second option would be Adore, after Adore Delano, who was a Drag Race finalist.

 

I probably won't be getting pregnant until I finally meet my beau in-person, anyway.

I've actually thought about sitting through the god awful GI Joe movie so I can see him as the villain.  Yes, my husband did tease me a little for that, but not unkindly.

I've actually thought about sitting through the god awful GI Joe movie so I can see him as the villain.  Yes, my husband did tease me a little for that, but not unkindly.

You sound like me, sitting through awful movies because I find people attractive in it. Granted, I live alone  but when I do mention I'm all in it for the eye candy, my friends tease me a whole bunch aha.

It's all this suspense that's made me Varric-crazy again XD. If they would have gone "yeah, no Varric romance for you" a few months ago I'd have gone "oh well" and would have not felt disappointed about it. But because they've still not confirmed anything yet, I've become super invested that it might actually be a yes. I've tried not to be but when you've got nothing to do but speculate you end up clinging to what's not said as much as what is. In this case, none of the devs being blunt about the Varric romance as they have done with fans hoping Cole was romancable for example.  So now if it is a no, it's gonna suck.

Yeah the fact that they haven't outright said no keeps my hopes up. 

I'm going to stay positive about it until I'm given a definitive reason not to be.

I was talking about this in the Cullen thread. Right now, I'm super emotional to the point where if something bad happens in a tv show I take it personally and can't watch it for a while . So I'm afraid if I hear bad news about Varric I'll take it personally and be upset even though I'd really be okay with it mentally haha

I've done that so many times before (I stopped watching Lost because of it). xP And I don't even have any reason to be overemotional, I'm just a big baby sometimes lol. 

 

But I feel like I'm pretty mentally prepared for Varric and LI news in general... I already consider myself one of the lucky people because I already have an LI confirmed that I'm interested in with Sera, so I try my best to be a good sport, if anything for the people who don't have any confirmation right now. x(
