I was replaying DA2 for fun. And while, I was talking to Varric and this song came to my mind.

After reading the comics I question if she is even alive. Bianca is just something I have to see play out for myself. I think she is just something that is going to come out as our friend breaks down the wall to the true Varric.

I could get behind her as an asset or something. To our knowledge Varric and Bianca have made no effort to seek one another out since they separated so I doubt that will change. I find it more likely that we'll somehow accidentally pick up on her trail while looking into something else. 

 

Honestly I hate to say this but I don't care about Bianca. Until someone linked me to that comic book panel a few months back I thought Varric just named his crossbow Bianca because he could. I like to name stuff too (I named my iPod Tim) so I figured he was just naming for the sake of naming.

 

I'm really bad a speculating or getting invested in characters I know little about (which is why I'm not particularly active in the other character threads). I want to be a Bianca fan but right now I don't know anything about her other than that she appears to be the reason why I can't romance Varric.  

 

I am trying to keep an open mind to her though and I hope that I become a Bianca fan. I mean we really could use more awesome lady dwarves in Dragon Age.

Agreed Silkie. If Bianca is a character we meet, and she does indeed end up being awesome and worthy of Varric, I'll be okay with it. Because I care about Varric being happy, but also great female dwarves have been some of my favorite characters and more are always welcome as far as I'm concerned. But right now I can't care much because I know so little.

I'm curious, but I don't really know much about her. I personally think she's dead as I can't see Varric not even looking for her or I guess she could have faked her own death to stop Varric from looking for her and if this is the case I will help Varric(either way) and accept her as an asset, if possible as I want to see Varric happy but there shall be words and a shovel talk.

But I forgot I had also named my Aeducan Eirlys. <_______< Gotta remake my Aeducan in DAO!

 

Edit: Okay I named her Ophira Aeducan now. Eirlys Aeducan also had modded hair so it was a good chance to change that.

Personally, I'm not thinking much about Bianca at this point. Prior to word-of-dev saying Varric "has someone already" I was convinced she was dead. All the evidence from the games and comics points to this and I really can't see a logical reason for her to be alive and apart from Varric all this time. I think it's clear that Varric also believes she is dead. I'm keeping an open mind because I'm sure the devs put a lot of thought into the whole thing and I trust them to deliver, so I will reserve narrative critique until I play the game. I'm probably gonna be bias as hell but I will try not to be.

It's mostly because of my love of Varric and my want to see him happy that I would like a happy reunion between them at this point. So I think one of his personal quests will involve her or at least his crossbow's namesake. idk there could even be a thing were she's stuck in the fade because she loves Varric so much (we've seen it happen in The Calling).
