I feel a little weird about rooting for Varric so hard. He's my favorite, no contest, but I really like pretty much all of our potentials at this point. The only guy I had zero interest in romancing was Cullen, and he's straight, so not my problem.

This list looks perfect for me. I'd be happy with either Solas or Viv (not both cause that would be knocking Varric out and I'm selfish).

 

I'd be interested in romancing Solas since he seems interesting.

And I love Viv and REALLY want a romance with her, but I get the feeling she's one who doesn't have time for romance. With the whole "What's her real agenda?" she has something going on most likely

I like to think of it more along the lines of "no matter who is an LI I'll be happy" . Because seriously, there's a great cast of characters this time around.

I rhink all the candidates have something fun to bring to the table. Vivienne has the ambition, Blackwall has tragedy, Iron Bull is qunari, Solas' is an apostate with the coolest powers, Varric is Varric....

How can I choose? One worldstate to the next, sure, but forever?

Varric could casually "flirt" with both male and female Hawke, so it's not outside the realm of possibility .

I can't image them having Varric so creepy, though, so maybe he wouldn't bother people the same way?

Screw them.  As long as Varric didn't hit on them first, they wouldn't care as much.  By the way, I also hope Varric is bisexual as well, I just don't think it's likely.  I have no problems sharing though.

Yep.  Is it bad that the idea doesn't bother me at all?

I try not to argue evidence too much (whatever happens happens, and we all have different ways of looking at the evidence) but since it's come up. One thing people should think about if they're not sure Varric could be bi: the guy was almost a love interest for DA2. The budget had them doing everyone as romance options for both male and female Hawke, and Varric wouldn't have been an exception if he was the guy they picked. And yet, apparently the writers had no problem writing him as effectively bisexual.

Can't really see how that would stop BW from doing what they want. And the dudebro reaction would be hillarious. If it happens, I'll just make some popcorn and watch the mayhem!

Yep.  Is it bad that the idea doesn't bother me at all?

Not really. It's not like straight males haven't had more options in Bioware games and games in general to begin with.

 

The only thing I wouldn't like with Vivienne not being an option is ruling out another F/F option for those who want it.
