I don't really get the appeal of blackwall as being "attractive" to me it's akin to wanting a partner with life experience, maturity and CAFH.

I really see it as more, does your character really want to send a message that they are not to be messed with, becauset his would really send a hard message to your enemies and possible enemies.

I don't know what CAFH is. I Googled it and got the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton.



I find Blackwall attractive in most screenshots (there's some with that helmet though that make him look like skeletor). Of all the announced romances, the only character I'm wary about being distracted by looks though is Sera ... I like art of her, but I felt her face translates weird - like default FemShep in ME3. I wonder if anyone else sees it?

Blackwall is very attractive to me. His personality seems stable and nice (which is good after the drama/wangst fest that was straight female romances in DA2). He's also very handsome, and he doesn't really look that old any more. Plus his beard is perfect for my inner hipster. 

 

I guess the character I'm the least interested in is Cullen. Yes, he's pretty. Yes, his voice actor is awesome. But what he's said and done in the previous games make him unattractive to me. I would never date a man who doesn't think all of humanity is equal, who separates people into categories and work to uphold that system. Why should my characters? I'm giving him a chance in DAI, maybe I'll change my mind. But this is how I feel right now, no offense to the Cullenites.

It certainly would send a message, but probably at the cost of many people's respect and loyalty. Some might fear you, but I'd never want to be that scary tyrant with all the power but no friends. 

 

I don't really find any of the companions/LI's unattractive. Not even Iron Bull.   Of course if I saw someone like him in real life, I'd run the heck away, but this is a game so I have a bit more wriggle room for the unusual haha. Blackwall has grown on me. Even though I've never been fond of big beards, I do like older/mature romances so now that I've seen more pictures of him looking in his 40's instead of 50's that is a comfortable age for me. Sera seems to be a hit or miss for people, but I personally find her lovely looking. I love her nose especially, and her lips! But most of all I think her personality sounds fun. :3 I have a weakness for the 'fun' people, so Bull and Sera hit my radar pretty fast for those reasons.
