That would be interesting, Ancient Elves being basically fae folk, **** went down and they were no longer magical...
Something I read, might have been the Last Flight thread, suggest that part of the history that was lost was the part where they had the worst parts of the dwarven social order.
Which is interesting, since the rest of the game has been looking at what Tolkien did with elves and dwarves and going, "Do the opposite of that." Consider how hostile the storyteller is in Nature of the Beast, even if one is a city or circle elf, and how they assume that Hawke would be an elf...because.
So, back to my earlier comment about taking Varric to Orzamaar...I can see him having some terrific one-liners, especially if they make him wear a brand just to walk around town.
Varric: It's alright, tattoos make a man seem...dashing. *If Iron Bull is in the party* Maybe I'll get an eyepatch to complete the look.
>.< I'd love to see how some of those quests went. I'd love to see a dwarven child either in Dust Town saying things like, "My mother says my father is a no good, lying, kinslayer exile. Since he wouldn't help her, I'm going to. I'm going to join the Carta and buy a house for Mother," or in the Harrowment/Aeducan estate, saying, "My father's a great hero. I'm going to be just like him some day." Same for Zerlinda's son, and an update on Ruck because I never felt okay with any option we were given there.
