I love the hidden blades! They're the best thing about AC, sneaking up to two guards and casually stabbing them both will never stop being entertaining. And that made me sound like a psycho xD

 

I love the AC games, even though the climbing and jumping off tall things freaks me out a bit.  I'm not good with depths, even virtual ones!

 

They are, in an unhealthy way still?  I don't frequent his thread.. but I'm a super softie and sympathise with the kicked puppy types, weird kicked puppy, but yeah... look I cried when both King Kong and Godzilla got killed...

 

Cole's thread is the second character thread I don't go into.  The other one being, of course, the Cullen thread.  Those places are too..... special for me.

 

Haha, that's ok! But like I said, I think it's the fact that he's so childlike. It makes me feel a bit protective. But judging by what happened at the end of the book, I think he'll be darker in game. I'm looking forward to meeting him

 

He should definitely be a fascinating character.

I was in one for a good many years and i did fairly well in it, i likely would still be doing it if i was allowed to be doing it.

 

As much as i may despise how the government treats its soldiers, there wasn't much else a man with my skillset could do and that led to a lot of hard years...better now, but still isn't what i'd label a comfortable living, about like it was when i first came to the United States except now i have a bunch of expensive prescriptions i need to fill, a mortgage to pay off and high living expenses.

 

If you like we can have a proper conversation on this subject in a PM.

 

Suffice it to say, what would be said during that conversation isn't likely to be erm...pleasant enough to be discussed in the thread.

 

But group and therapy has led me to be fairly open about it; its only the past, mine is no different from tens of thousands of others.

I could never be a soldier. I like to play as them, but I don't have the right emotional mindset to really be one... so I respect people who can.

My oldest uncle told me something a long time ago right before he died.

 

This was way back in the 80s i was a snot nosed brat back then, not interested in much besides drugs and sex and driving this god awful Volvo compact i had imported.

 

Still i listened to them and i still remember the words.

 

"You do what you must when you must." 

 

And then he died of a combination of lingering injuries, cancer and i suspect just losing the will to live.

 

Its a pity about his mother, had she lived just a few more years...bleh anyway.

 

I had no intention of being a soldier, sure a lot of men in my family were soldiers, a good deal of my grand parents, and their children were soldiers, but i had no cause to fight for, no invaders coming to my home to kill my family.

 

When i became one, it was merely a job.

But let's just say the chances of me landing a job on Volvo when I'm done with my education are pretty good. A lot of our almuni end up there.

Me neither. I don't even have a drivers license. Thankfully I live in a city with good public transportation. It sucks whenever I go home to visit my parents though

Me neither. XD I've had permits but never got to license. I didn't really have anyone to teach me and wasn't as interested in driving as most people my age either. We have buses here but they aren't too reliable... I wish we had a subway. >.>

That's pretty much what happened to me too xD I almost had my license, but then I had to move to go to college and I had no one to teach me over here. So I just put it on hold. My family will never stop teasing me about the fact that my younger sister got her license before me

Is it childish of me to still be sad about Varric not being a LI again? I'm still kinda sad about lol,my female dwarf will always have an unrequited love for him I guess.She'll have to just settle for making eyes and flirting with him (if BW will put in that dialog option) it would be nice lol.

Nah, plenty of us remain bummed about it, and that's okay. We aren't being rude about it or anything so we can feel however we want. I hope there's some flirting options too at least.
