I try my best to be respectful. I'm still learning every day.
My family has really conservative/traditional roots so I learned a lot from friends and other sources growing up, even things about myself that way. I never understood the controversy over such simple things, imo there are more important things to be frustrated about in life. xP

It's not about being PC. It's about two things:
1: Allowing people to define themselves the way they want to.
2: Avoiding gender pronouns when they're not needed.
Both are very important arguments, and I say that allowing for a gender neutral pronoun enriches both the language and society. It's a positive change.
But this is completely OT. On the subject of Varric: could he stealth before? I can't remember.

I don't recall him being able to before, but it's been awhile. I think it's good he can now though because this combat is looking to be much more difficult than the past. xD

I'm worried that the available qunari Inquisitrix options aren't as pleasing to mine eye as I'd like....

I really liked some of the faces and horns I saw, but I agree on the hair options... I'm really wish we could choose hair and horns separately, but I suppose I understand why not. :/

About Varric, I would no be surprised if the interactions between him and the previous dwarf charcters will be difficult. Imagine Oghren, Sigrun.... with Varric speaking together... I'm sure that could be a lot of fun to hear... Varric likes darting jokes about dwarves. Oghren is the typical skull smashing drinking dwarf and Sigrun is a redeemed dwarf. And both Sigrun and Oghren share the fact they belonged to the Legion of the Dead.

Couldn't it have been a bit longer at the back, at least? A ponytail? That lovely long-with-shaved-sides look on the human Inquisitrix in the Fallow Mire? The *sob* Lagertha braid look? I mean, the horn options are interesting and the face can be flexed into whatever form you like, but, like, five really short hair options?

Yeah, that was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for something like the Tamassran from the comics. But the horns were cool!

I'm in love with the CC - I was not expecting details like eyelash styles.

I was just saying elsewhere: I'd like to see the mohawk properly, as something mohawk-y was one of the options I was thinking of for my tomb raiding rogue Isileth. Since there doesn't seem to be any better options available I might have to settle for that....
And we've had the word from Laidlaw now that those hair designs are locked in. So unless there's some options they didn't show us, what we've seen is it.

I agree with that, we only got a glimpse of them. But idk, it's a shame we won't get to customize the hair and horns separately. I guess that in combination with the unique headgear assets would take up too much resources. I'm just happy we get to play as a qunari at all.
And there's always mods. I know Frostbite will be a hard one to mod, but people are determined. Sooner or later, someone will find a way.

I guess so. We can always hope, I spose.
In the meantime, time to sob myself to sleep

Yeah, the Qunari hairs are pretty disappointing. Not something gamebreaking for me. But it does make me less likely to roll a Qunari female, and I kind of doubt the males have more options.
Still going for female Dwarf at the moment.

I didn't think I'd like so many horn options, so I'm even more excited to play qunari. And they had said no cut horns, but we do have them ![]()
By the way, where are the comments about Varric looking so cute when falling in battle? He also looked more blond.

Noooooooo!! I want to be a Qunari female so bad! Is the hair that bad?! I wanted fluffy white hair for her...

Yeah the amount of horn options is pretty impressive, and I like the idea of war paint as their head slot.
And Varric being cute is a given of course.

There's only four styles, and they're all short, there's a huge amount of horns though, if that helps any.

I've got nothing against short hair (I myself rock an inverted bob) but uh....only four hairstyles? That sounds like a joke...seriously? I'd rather have four horns styles than four hair styles...maybe they just didn't show all of them? I mean seriously you can't only have four hair styles.I think there's a law against it somewhere.

It's confirmed that it's only four, it is pretty bad to be honest. Two of them are cornrows, one of them is a slick backed style that you only get if you have no horns. The last one is this really short braid thing. If you go into the scuttlebutt section you should be able to find the stream on youtube. Just look for the twitch stream thread.

No worries, a lot of people are disappointed, and some of them are just plain angry. It's pretty understandable though, 4 styles that are very similar is...quite lackluster.
Interested in what the male Qunari have, I doubt they fare any better then females.

Oh I doubt the males Qunari will be half as lucky as the females in the hair department.
I wouldn't have such a problem with it if they were more diverse, but they're not. Which is a right shame because in reality there is a lot of variety in short hair. In this case...not so much...apparently Qunari ladies all see the exact same stylist. ![]()
