"on Wednesdays, we wear pink!"
And on Fridays blue but not yellow, we keep yellow for Mondays and on Tuesday we wear red.

ahem
I remember doing this and I'm going to do it again in Inquisition if it lets me.
ahahaha, take all my likes guys. that gif is awesome. ![]()
You guys can keep all the Pinkquisition to yourselves. I was "traumatized" by getting overloaded with pink things as a kid and cannot bear it.

Egh, I got that a lot as a kid too... I was very anti-girly stuff as a kid... I remember one time during christmas opening presents I just about threw a fit when I got a doll and my mom got really mad at me. But yeah, never been too fond of pink even after growing out of that stage. I'm thinking a nice blue or purple theme. xD
*high-five of similar experiences* I got like a dozen pink sweaters from my grandma alone /sigh Even after I convinced my parents to drop it, I still had to put up with the pink furniture they had gotten when I was too little to protest. I remember my happiness when the last piece got replaced xD

I had a similar experience with my parents buying me really girly toys and clothes in purple, orange and pink, I still hate those colours today and remember being ecstatic when they gave in one birthday and got me a football and other un-girly stuff.
My mom sometimes acted concerned about my interests (I liked collecting those little toy cars, had a whole case of them, and action figures) and the shows I watched (I was a huge DBZ fan lol) but eventually she stopped with it and just realized everyone is different, even kids. I never understood why there was a 'boys aisle' and 'girls aisle' in the toys sections, I was like "why not just combine them for everyone?" I was left wondering why I preferred the 'boys' toys to the 'girls' when I was a girl. The only person who ever really got me was my mom's mom, she got me the best stuff - she knew I loved lizards and frogs so she always stayed with that theme and I swear I had probably the biggest collection of frog stuff in the state lol.
Maybe I should do a Greenquisition in honor of that... xD

Sounds very much like my childhood apart from the frogs, I was obsessed with snakes and was happier climbing trees, play fighting and watching shows like DBZ etc than playing with dolls.

omg Kermit! so adorable haha. xD
I was a girly girl who played with dolls. But at the same time I was obsessed with Star Wars and LotR (I named my cat Bilbo when I was 10, after my mom vetoed Gandalf and Legolas). If they made Jedi robes for Barbie dolls, I would have been all over that.
That reminds me of the Alistair-Ken doll from a while back. Someone should do one for our dear dorf!
Alistair ken doll? I never saw that! xD
It was posted in the Twitter thread the other week ![]()
Time to swim through the twitter thread! *puts on forum-surfing goggles*
I was kind of the opposite of you guys then. I never really liked sports or action figures. I liked to play with dolls and play houses and such. I grew up in a small southern town, so you can imagine how that went for me.

I was a girly girl too, I still am actually. My entire wardrobe is nothing but skirts and dresses. ![]()
And there was an Alistair Ken doll? I need it! But I'm not sure if a Varric Ken would work...I mean it's a nice idea but to get the proportions right we might have to...saw his legs off a bit....
Wow this got morbid fast.

I can a little bit, as I am from the south as well with a traditional family. As much of a double standard as it is in general... even the opposite way around was pretty non-acceptable for me from most of my family. lots of unladylike comments and one time my grandma even told me "you'll never get a boyfriend or husband if you don't stop being so boyish" (i was like, 12 years old! xD) some people really just have a hard time understanding I suppose. I'm sorry you had to go through that though, I can only imagine how much worse it would be the other way around. :s

It may be wrong but I snickered so hard at this. x'D

And here I thought the chest hair wig would be the hardest part xD But you're absolutely right!

I came out of most of it unscathed. My family was actually pretty supporting. It was mostly people at school that had an issue with me, particularly jocks.
Tried searching "alistair" in the twitter thread... bad idea... too much stuff. o_o that dang thread moves too fast lol.

I'm glad you had a supporting family. :3 That's the most important.. school... yeah, that's harder to deal with but at least not important in the long run. I had 'popular' bullies as well. I beat one of them up and got in huge trouble, almost kicked out of school... worth it.

Yeah, it was tough at times. But this was before social media was a big thing. So it could of been a lot worse than it was. I just don't understand the thought process of some people, why go out of your way to be hateful towards people who have done nothing to you ? They aren't hurting you, just let them live how they want and move on.
Buut we're being way off topic, so I'll stop ranting now, appreciate you listening though. ![]()
