... I don't think Varric wants to be a narcissist. I don't think he likes people who are narcissists. I mean sure, he can be a bit vain and full of his own bullshit. But a guy who spends his days in the background, manipulating events so that other people are safe or get to be the hero in the eyes of the public is far from a narcissist.
