Guys, I don't know if you've seen it in the Twitter thread but from now on there are serious spoiler risks. Apparently some people got their hands on the Art of Dragon Age: Inquisition early. I think it goes without saying that if anyone of us decide to read the spoilers, don't post it here or at the very least use a clear spoiler tag so that the people who want to enter the game relatively spoiler free get to do so! 

 

Just a heads up, I know some of you have considered a forum blackout.

I'm playing DA2 at the moment and Varric is Just.... I love him.

I like that little laugh he does when him and Isabela are making fun of that poetic guy in the Hangehd Man.

Is anyone else trying totally unusual playthroughs of any Dragon Age games before we get to Inquisition? I'm trying to finally experience the Rivalry with Varric by going full Red and it's been - at times - tough, hilarious, and just plain weird.

 

I probably have played through the game - or just about to the end - around 4 or 5 times but I don't think I've ever been able to commit to an aggressive Hawke before. I have to say that I like a lot of the judgmental lines though and that the "summary" blurb for them is usually understated and more misleading than the other general personality choices. But to see those Rivalry points crop up for Varric hurts every single time *sigh*.

At least he doesn't give you a disappointed stare and a sigh every time you do something terrible. THAT would be unbearable

It's been kind of fun having him basically apologize to every single person I needlessly harangue though, heh!

 

I could never NOT end Kelder's life though, I think that's one of the few choices I have to always do. EXCEPT for never "returning" Fenris to Danarius. I didn't even know that was a choice but I can't even imagine having to be alive after whatever cutscenes are involved there, ugh...

 

Back to Varric though, I am curious about the new "approval through dialogue" system. I'm sure it will be implemented well but I'm looking to forward to the slightly different tones Brian Bloom brings to positive sarcasm and negative sarcasm.

 

Who was everyone's favorite companion for Varric to banter with in DA2? Did you have anything from DA2 you'd want him to mention or reference in Inquisition?

I thought some of the Merrill banters were good, the last Sebastian banter is also pretty funny.

Varric and Isabela, oh man. Their constant teasing of other companions including but not limited to friend-fiction. I love them both. XD I always need them both in my party.

Luckily it seems most of the spoiler stuff in the Twitter thread has been eliminated, as I went in and did a search and found nothing. So for those of you wary about that, they've been taken down and made serious announcements about how no spoiler content is allowed in there any more. I would be very careful on tumblr though. Not everyone uses spoiler tags on there, and since there is now leaked content from the art book, it's probably pretty risky there.

 

Oh and look, a new hairstyle we haven't seen (i think?)! (This femquisitor was made to look like Harley Quinn btw)
