I've asked you before to stop spamming the thread with random Naruto junk, I will ask you once more. Knock it off. 

 

 

Back on topic, according to that screenshot we saw earlier, it looks like it's pretty much confirmed that Varric will be joining us early on. I'm glad because I always have trouble utilizing the late to join characters, no matter how much I like them.

 

I wonder if he'll have some sort of clever story to excuse the inevitable Bag of Spilling.

If he does, he better do it because we're playing an Assquisitor. Just randomly abandoning the Inquisition would make me ragequit and type a lot of words on my Tumblr.

I don't know. it just seemed like after anders did his whole bomb Varric was already sick and tired of all that stress and with his brother betraying him and seeing what it had done. and now 4ish years later and still right in the middle of all of it. don't you think if someone offered him peace of mind and love I.E Biance. he would do anything for it.

I think if that happened the backlash would be IMMENSE, more immense than the word immense could even express... Varric is so well loved, I wouldn't want to see this forum if that happened no matter what... I would definitely hide for a few years...

I imagine Varric is tired of it all but I just can't see him as the character that leaves it all behind when the world has a chance to be completely destroyed. The fact that he still hasn't given up on Bianca tells me he's loyal to the end.

It's really too early for me to be speculating about Bianca as we still know next to nothing about her. However I don't believe Varric would fall in love with someone who was a terrible human being so I find it unlikely that she's willingly involved in anything too illicit. So I doubt she'll return as some big mega villain and Varric is going to stab us in the back to be with her. On the off hand that she did return as a completely monster, I find it more likely that Varric would try to stop her or perhaps attempt to redeem her in some way. 

 

An important part of Varric's character is that he's pretty darn selfless, to betray the Inquisition in a way that would only benefit himself would be very out of character.

 

No, if Varric turns on us it'll probably do to a serious case of the Assquisition.

If he would ever "betray" you, you're probably playing a bloodthirsty jerk anyway.

I agree, if he leaves it's because the Inquisitor is a big jerk who keep doing things that Varric find wrong. Like leaving innocents to die just to preserve your own strength, we already know he objects to that. I can't see him betraying anyone, he is probably the most loyal companion Bioware has ever come up with save for perhaps Garrus. We're talking about a guy who's so loyal he keep everyone in your party safe between missions, not because they're his friends or he likes them; but because they're Hawke's friends/allies. And he does it all without saying anything about it. 

 

I guess what I'm trying to say is: Varric is a great guy! He won't betray anyone.

I agree completely^^ If Varric would decide to leave the party, it would only be because you roleplayed a complete d*ckhead^^ Lucky for me that won't happen^^ My Bioware heroes (including Shepard) tend towards the perfectly selfless paragon-hero *lol*

PS: I'm not sure if this would be considered spamming (and if it is, please ignore), but I've pieced a little fan-made trailer for Inquisition together and I've wanted an unbiased opinion for it.
