I'd say his interaction with Hawke will be based partly on Hawke's personality and partly on where or not he was a friend or a rival

Well, from what I saw in the previous livestream about the Keep, it looked like one of the choices was to set whether Varric was a friend or rival with Hawke.  It will most likely dictate his reaction and responses.  I always was friends with him, so I'm really looking forward to the reunion!

Well first we have to end the mage-templar war. And close the Breach. And stop the Elder one. And get rid of all those dragons.

I can also imagine more straightforward Inquisitors, such as mine, getting annoyed with having to deal with The Game...

K for next game:

I'd like there to be a female qunari romance. Someone who really believes in the qun, like Tallis, but maybe a shaman/priestess or something. I'd say she could be a mage but they are so de-"humanized" it would probably be impossible for her to see herself as an individual that could fall in love so maybe not a mage. Rogue then? Anyway I'd love to get to know a qunari who's really passionate about the qun.

Male dwarf romance could be a recent surfacer that is devisated to be on the banished. Comes from a merchant or smith caste and has to deal with the sky forever. By chatting with him you'll get to know that he's always been too smart to be just stuck in the smith caste and is a very good fighter because he practices with this crafts (like Will Turner in PotC).

Female dwarf LI could be a noble who knows the in and outs of politics and as often dealt as a negotiator for trade to the surface. A dwarf equivialant to a bard probably. Can charm the pants off anyone but is surprised when she falls for the new PC.

Lol no one replied to my "come up with next game's LI" before so I figured I throw out some ideas~

of course I'm just playing around with concepts, we don't know if there will be major changes in DAI like, maybe we help the dwarves found (or reclaim) a new city so maybe we'll deal with that in the next game~

We still haven't really seen anything of Kal-Sharok... what if they did things a bit differently?  What if "urgh, surfacers" is only an Orzammar thing?  You could have a dwarf noble who travels the world and can go back home again because they haven't been outcast as a result.

 

Some sort of Qunari ambassador would be interesting, like an advisor in that they don't travel around with the protagonist.

 

How about a Qunari dwarf, for extra crossover oddity?

Tevinter has a dwarven embassy.

It's underground so they can retain caste.

Probably the closest thing in Thedas to a surface settlement.

There was a lot of side story associated to Varric in the Legacy DLC, I hope we hear a bit more since all dwarves seem pretty savy on noble houses history (save cateless and dwarves who have been on the surface for a long time).

A saarebas romance would be fun. Part of it would be teaching her how to be a person. A bit like Fenris. Then she could be like how Sigrun is to a casteless warden, but to a saarequisitor.
