So I heard that there was a conversation in DA2 where female Hawke could flirt with Varric. Which was it? I don't mean the "I'd cry myself to sleep with you" joke.

I actually love the concept of vallaslin but it was a major bummer to me when it was implied we wouldn't have any clue what the ones we were given meant. I want it to match my dalish inquisitor's personality, she chose it after all.

Yes, I was a little worried about the lack of vallaslin meanings.

 

Also, some people were worried some specs wouldn't work with DW or archer, so glad they cleared that up.

That's pleasantly surprising news. Maybe I'll make an elven inquisitor sooner than I thought then. An elf is the only character I have yet to plan out.

I find it ironic how I, the one who hates how we have to have Vallaslin, was the one who was able to get a dev to agree to share their meanings.

Did you see the elf they made where it was practically invisible? It might take a couple minutes of tweaking but I think it shouldn't be too hard to make the tattoos not show up at all really.

I saw it, and was able to point out where they were exactly immediately. Even before the Bioware employee who made the character finished typing his description of where they were.

Tbh while I'm not entirely sure I like the fact that we have to use the tattoos, an adult Dalish elf without Vallaslin wouldn't make any sense at all. With the Warden I guess you could sort of head canon it as them being very young, but that was imho pushing it. From what I've gathered they are going for a slightly older PC this time, and so it makes no sense if Lavellan doesn't have any markings. Besides, with plenty of designs to choose from and all of the colors available I'm sure people will be able to find a way to make it look the way they want.

I think Josephine's voice trust pushed her neck and neck with Bull for my Cadash's heart!

As for the tattoos, I'm really glad they have them, and I'm glad we can make them very light like the demo's elf. Ynqve is right it would be really out of place for an adult elf to not have them at all. I hope other elves notice and comment

Isn't she dreamy? That stream made her for sure soar in front of a few people on my LI list. She might even go before Solas, even though I was planning my first elf for him it might have to be her instead. Her voice is so perfect... 

 

I'm glad they have them too, tbh. I know some dislike tattoos but they're such an important part of Dalish culture it's a sacrifice to make for wanting to play Dalish. If I didn't like them, I'd probably just make them as skin color as possible but I'll be rocking mine. And they've finally shown some symmetrical ones in previous streams so I don't have to worry about going OCD about it once in-game. xD

I'm personally a fan of the tattoos, especially some of the modded ones for DA:O that had different colors at different parts of the tattoos. I'm not a fan of them taking the intensity slider out. But I suppose each tattoo having 3 different intensity's is good enough.

Besides making the tattoo faint, if you're really good you can make it the same color as your skin with the color picker.
