Either it's in-game sarcasm or the ratings guy for the game tried to make it seem dull and more formal but if he/she has, they've just made it more hilarious.

I am hoping that the devs so how much tears were shed when Varric's LI status was announced and give us AT LEAST two swoon-worthy LIs in the next installment.

Kind of odd, considering there was a gameplay one just last Monday. Maybe the development schedule for next week is forcing them to do the livestream earlier, rather than later. That, or they're trying to build up hype by sharing more tantalizing tidbits of information with us.
It did come a little out of the blue, though. Yeah. I just got the news yesterday.
