I just think the thread regulars here had really high hopes for Bianca's appearance... like really high. Especially after confirmation he wasn't an LI. We talked about it a lot and what we would have liked to see. And after seeing it, none of those things were met and we were just upset. It's a normal reaction, I think... we just got our hopes up. As opposed to people who weren't intensively thinking about it beforehand or anything.

I was thinking about it quite a lot. And I was glad to meet his girlfriend, maybe that's the reason I'm okay with that. I like Varric but I knew he was never meant to be a LI. He loves another person rather than my Hawke or Inquisitor, and that's really okay
My only complaint is how bad her VA sometimes sounds. Otherwise, I like Bianca, I like her relationship with Varric. She truly cares about him and he cares about her. But there is that family business, responsability, loyalty and stuff so they can't really be together. That's not their fault and that definitelly doesn't mean their feelings are not real
There are many such sad love stories when lovers can't be together due to circumstances beyond their power. That's beautiful. That's sad. That's heartbreaking and empowering. Because if even distance and lack of actual contact can't break your bond, then your love is truly unique and golden

Random note about Varric just Varric that really has nothing to do with anything anyone else is saying but I found it kind of odd. Got some pretty good rogue armor to craft so I made it and put it on all the rogues in my party and on Varric it looks really weird he's running around sleeveless with metal gauntlets kind of looks like he's going through a phase of something. Anyway I will shush now and stop getting OT of the topic off hand

To be frank when I heard these rumours (you know, those in which if you give him a red lyrium shard he goes crazy and a spirit of Bianca possess his crossbow so you have to either kill him or have a demonic version of himself) I was really shocked at first but also excited. A thought of him loving Bianca so much he would either go mad due to lyrium taking a form of his true love or never loving anyone ever again. That was tragic, poetic, beautiful, heartbreaking. Worthy of a story
Thankfully in reality it's much more simple and actually there is a possibility of a happy end. Probably, some day. Still, I need to write such a drabble... maybe draw some fanart... ah, tragic love. Beautiful

So, thought occurs to me; if you take him along in the caves under Crestwood to close the rift, you can find one section of the caves with a pile of bodies where people drowned, trying to claw their way out. Varric will mention that just the thought of this is going to give him nightmares.

Probably just an expression. He may not have them himself but he's aware of the concept of nightmares.
Glad I'm not the only person that feels that way. Ser Barris is most dreamy imo so far no ones agreed with me on that

I did it with my Cadash as well, for the same reason!
Imma need to find out how to get some serious Solas approval for this file between the templars and grey wardens though. xD;
