So Varric's the cause for my Mage playthrough to be restarted.
I try to choose the "Customize Champion of Kirkwall" option - nothing happens, goes back to the game, unable to speak with Varric.
I try to choose the "Default Champion of Kirkwall" option - game instantly closes.
Edit: Seems to be working now!
Yeah, it seems like we're lucky on this one. phew.
I started panicking after I downloaded it and saw people were saying it was causing more issues than it was fixing, so I was pleasantly surprised that the Ps4 Patch actually fixed the issues instead of making it worse. Hope the other patches for the other platforms get fixed soon.
So... just had to make that really hard decision in my second file.

I think this is the first game I wanna romance more than one ROMANCEABLE character. (I say that because in DA2 I did want to romance more than one character but neither were an option, I guess you can guess who).
While Catina is going for IB, Sera is quite tempting. I can imagine the two of them causing havoc throughout Skyhold.
I mean, Varric is still mah bro but wow, IB and Sera... O//////O"

I shall be trying that tomorrow I think. I did notice the game took a little longer to get going as well, and seemed a bit stuttery when loading.

Cassandra has a problem with arm upgrades to her armour, though. Ever since I returned to Haven from Redcliffe (before the patch!) it's like the extra bits that surround her shoulder sockets have gone AWOL. I tried a save from before then and it is now the same then too! I might try doing a "repair game" to see if that sorts it. Otherwise... I'm not sure what can be done except report it.

The general consensus here pretty much is exactly what you said. We've already had our ****** fest about her a few pages back, but you're more than welcome to start one up again because as far as I'm concerned because I 100% agree with you.

I hadn't thought about making the Inquisitor judge her - but you are right, there are people brought in for less 'Inquisitor' things (the mayor of Crestwood) - really, Bianca should be brought in. It'd be an intriguing one, given the personal connection for Varric.
I don't really mind Bianca per se - my main issue with her is having Varric on the hook for 15 years. I don't get how someone can claim to love a person, and not want them to be free and happy, rather than waiting. I had a rant about it over here if anyone is interested.

If we're still voicing our opinions on Bianca I'd like to share mine as well, I was going into the game at first pretty excited to meet her but felt lukewarm about her the first time I did his mission since I wasn't paying much attention to it (I had music on at the time since I had/have the no banter bug so didn't hear most of what they were saying) Next time I played it I found myself really disliking her and that they were trying to hard to make her awesome to the point of it being something I would have written in middle school, in short I don't like her and I don't like doing Varric's quest and am very thankful its short and to be very honest I like Varric less now after it as well. Though I am very worried that a lot of criticism she gets is going to be brushed off and swept aside as 'You just don't like her cause you wanted to romance Varric' when from what I've seen so far that isn't the case at least for me its not. Maybe if they cut back on how 'awesome' she was and didn't come off as (in my own opinion of course) manipulative of Varric then I would have liked her more.

I could not agree more, I also had well moved on from wanting to romance him by that point. The pay off of it all was so underwhelming and left a bad taste in my mouth.

I do love Varric but I was a bit underwhelmed with him in Inquisition, tbh. I just felt so bad for him... the few times we saw the real Varric I was jumping for joy! I did pop in here a bit pre-release (esp when people were being asshats to you guys when it was revealed that he wasn't an LI. I hate the politics on this board sometimes) but I mostly swoon over Dorian and his magnificence. Lol!

YUS. Yus x19248039 it was just all... pooey. There were a few things in DAI that needed more depth and time and this was definitely one of them. Especially because we have a beloved character who

I wanted to have the option of setting her on fire with my Qunari mage or using her as dragon bait, no one treats people I know like that and gets away with it (even in a game). While I would have loved to have Varric as a LI in game, it's not the reason why I don't like her, it was more to do with how manipulating she was and how she's led poor Varric on for 15 years ( I ain't happening man, move on) and I felt that Varric deserved better (again not being a LI, that ship has well and truly sailed) and his personal quest with Bianca felt incomplete and unresolved.-the reason for the red lyrium amped nutters running around got away scot free, what madness is this?
@Ynvqe I would have loved to judge her, you can judge every one else, why not her? also for some reason I don't think we've seen the last of her.- I hope we have, I never want to see her again.
@ Lucy Bianca's the Uber Mary Sue that near enough everyone loves to hate and kill off in very creative and unique ways inside their head.
I don't think my Inquisitors would have punished her for the thing with Varric cause they don't know him that well, they would judge and punish her for the other thing though in a heart beat. My Hawkes on the other hand? Every single one of them would hate her and since most of them are loopy a stabbing or two may happen since you don't get to treat their friend like that and expect to get away with it without at least a limp.
