Nessy looks great. I'm probably gonna use the other version of that vallaslin for my male canon Lavellan. Yes, probably both my canons will be Dalish. I hadn't even noticed it until now xD

Thanks chrys! And omgosh I haven't even thought who is gonna be cannon yet... I know who's cannon in my DAO and da2 and I gave that cannon keep to my dwarf whom I still love but I may which it up some.

My female canon is elven mage who romanced Alistair and put him on the throne by himself with Dark Ritual + aggressive warrior Hawke who romanced Izzy and sided mages. My male canon is city elf rogue who romanced Zevran, did the Dark Ritual and put Ali on the throne by himself + sarcastic archer Hawke who romanced Fenris and sided mages. So my Fade choice will be very easy in both xD

 

I'm probably pairing both with Dalish rogues. Two elves again just like in DAO - lol I'm boring.

My cannon is a city elf who romanced Alistair, kept him in the Wardens and put Anora on the throne. Cannon hawke is a f!warrior who romanced Anders, sided with the mages, and let Anders live. 

 

I'm not sure who my cannon inquisitor will be. Might just be my Solasmance to make this extra sad. I'll wait until I've played a few more times to really get a read on who is cannon...

My bf is physically in the fade now and I have a few thoughts... Is the fade like the matrix? Are you actually, physically breathing air? If you die there, does your body rot?? 

 

Also I love the mini quest where you get all the trinkets to make the soul's fear go away. It's so heartwarming

Thinking back to the circle quest in DAO with the sloth demon... I think when people normally go to the fade, they're breathing but it's their sleeping body breathing, so basically it's like a dream. Physically in the fade though, I have no clue because... is there even air there? xD But yeah, I actually enjoyed the fade in this game unlike the lonely bore it was in Origins. >.<

It was also very, very slow and labyrinthic and you could feel the sloth taking over and putting you to sleep. I ended up mostly using the skip the fade mod after the first time.

A coworker of mine just started dragon age with DAI and now is going to play the other games on her computer. But she heard parts of it were slow so she wasn't sure

It really does. It was very lonely in Origins and that was why. And Chrys has a point too.. it was super slow. x.x It was nice being able to use skip mods when I finally got the game for PC.

So, I'm not really a close follower of Varric, so I thought I'd ask for clarification.

What's the deal with Bianca? I got the impression Varric was "friend zoned" by Bianca, so that while he's in love with her, she just thinks of him as an old friend. Is that accurate?

In addition, anyone think Bianca was kind of an idiot? I mean, maybe a great inventor, but still an idiot, with the whole red lyrium subplot. Not the hugest Varric fan but he deserved better, IMHO.

Did I misunderstand things, or do I have an accurate assessment?

I really loathe the 'friend-zone' concept but I'll entertain it for this question lol. I'm putting this in spoilers though, as I believe we have posters in here who haven't gotten to Bianca yet.

They are mutual lovers, but rarely get to see eachother. On top of that, Bianca is married to someone else, and her parents hate Varric because they don't think he's a good fit for her. As for the idiot thing, you won't get much of an argument from me there. I know they tried really hard to push that she was smart, but anyone who gives the location of a thaig full of weird red lyrium to a random 'mage' they don't even know is kinda dumb, imo.
