So, yes. Finished it again! With what I would consider a definitely better result. Couldn't get everyone what they might have wanted but you can't have everything. I am content with this outcome.
(I was massively over-levelled for it though - the poor bastards didn't know who they were messing with!)

Somehow your post made me realize that they should have let you have a dance with Varric if you didn't have an LI or they weren't at the ball.

Hugh, just sacrificed Hawke in my second playthrough. I just couldn't make Warden Alistair die because he was my FemCousland bestie/bro and generally one of my favorite character in the franchise. I just can't.
The talk with Varric was awkward. I hear it's worse if you bring him in the Fade.
On another note I'm really disappointed that Varric didn't get more War Table missions besides Hard in Hightown. The guy tells us he has investments everywhere, I want to be a fortune magna with you Varric!

I hadn't really thought of it at the girl power team till now! I just did what I normally do and picked the people most appropriate to Orlais; the Game player and the Hero. And then lovely Sera, because servants and (the sadly missed opportunity for) dancing!
I think Cassandra's armour is a Battlemaster Coat... she basically has two main looks, the standard one she gets with her default armour and that one, with the sunburst breastplate.

Idk, seems like it's PC only but since it's going to fix stuff like party banter and Dorian's quest I hope consoles get a smaller patch too. But aside from the companion stuff it looks like a minor patch, patch 4 is going to be the big one.
I know, I feel awful but I don't want to go back and change it, because it just...fits my canon Hawke too much somehow.

Oh yay. They are going to fix the banter issue? I hardly got any banter in my playthrough. I hope the patch will help. I still don't get why they didn't design a banter system that would trigger a banter if you hadn't had any in X amount of time.

Yeah, they're making it less random. I had the same problem on my first playthrough, it sucked! And I feel like the party banter is more important this time around, there's so much character development in the banter. And you need the banter if you're going to spend hours exploring.
I might wait a few days before I try the patch this time. Dammit.

I'm taking a break for a few weeks between playthroughs, if I can resist the temptation, so I'll actually do something other than play Dragon Age, so hopefully the new patch will be out before I start. It is a good thing I'm waiting too, because my next playthrough is going to be a Dorian-romance one and I wouldn't want to risk getting his quest bug, though I didn't get it the first time.
I also found this part of the patch notes rather amusing: "Fixed issue that could cause Varric’s legs to do odd things in some opt-in conversations." I never saw that one. Sounds funny. I also love the vaguely-phrased "odd things".

Actually it's already live! But if you're lucky patch 4 might be out by the time you pick the game up again. My bet is that that's the major patch everyone's been waiting for.

Yeah, I didn't realize but then I started reading the banter thread in the annoucements forum, and some people are claiming they still have problems with it (though potentially only when, you know, actually playing the game but it is fine when you are perfectly still). I guess it will be patch 4, then. We shall see how long I can contain my eagerness to play the game again will last. I should play multiplayer but the singleplayer is just too fun...
And I agree, someone should post the Varric leg bug if they have it.

okay, you got me. It was kinda far back...and yesterday-ish but whatever. I doodled this picture of her and my Warden who despise eachother.
