Anyway, randomness over. (and sorry for the long picture post. ) I've been wondering about something..Does anyone know how long after DA2 that Inquisition takes place? I think I might just be an idiot but I can't seem to remember for the life of me....
I mean, wasn't Cassandra lugging Varric around the entire time? So, it couldn't have been THAT long right? I feel like I should know the answer to this question...*derp*
DA:I takes place in 9:41. Cassandra interrogates Varric in DA2 in 9:40. Bioware said the gap between the two games was the time it would take for them to get from Kirkwall to Haven.

Had a nice long talk with Morrigan today. Being a mother has been good for her
And lovely to hear her talking about my Mr Warden that way too.

I know! I love how much she's grown and matured since Origins. Not saying people need kids to grow up, but she certainly benefited from motherhood.

I don't think it is so much her motherhood that changed her so much as getting a bit older. After all, it is clear that Alistair grew up quite a bit too. I love what Bioware did with both their characters. They clearly developed and grew, in a positive direction, while still being clearly the same characters. Morrigan has turned out to be a great mother though, which is entirely not what you'd expect based on her character in Origins, and on top of that she's doing it on her own. It makes sense for her character, though, and I'm not even sure I find it surprising, because they laid the foundations down for that so well. Morrigan had a terrible childhood of her own and it is obvious she wouldn't want the same for her child and the friendship she develops with the Warden shows she clearly can care about others. I loved taking Morrigan along to Orzammar with my castless dwarf Warden when she goes to visit her mom and them bonding over their difficult relationships with their mothers.

Has anyone tried to use the CC to recreate their Warden(s) yet? I gave it a go to see if I could remake my oddly bony-faced fellow.

There's a thread for it so I thought I'd give it a go.

I think it kinda works. It's as close as the dev's closest approximations to existing characters, at least!

Oh Maker. Tavern songs! For free!
Varric probably wouldn't like the "free" part ![]()

I would like to believe that Varric had something to do with the songs being since he loves us so much! ![]()

Whahoo! I'm so excited. Thanks for the info. I've been keeping an eye out for news on the next patch but had missed this. Just found the patch notes and took a look at them. I'm taking a break for a few weeks between playthroughs, if I can resist the temptation, so I'll actually do something other than play Dragon Age, so hopefully the new patch will be out before I start. It is a good thing I'm waiting too, because my next playthrough is going to be a Dorian-romance one and I wouldn't want to risk getting his quest bug, though I didn't get it the first time.
I also found this part of the patch notes rather amusing: "Fixed issue that could cause Varric’s legs to do odd things in some opt-in conversations." I never saw that one. Sounds funny. I also love the vaguely-phrased "odd things".
I had the Varric's leg issue. He sort of looked like he really needed to "go see a man about a horse"

That's great! I can't wait until I have someone to talk about it, but no one I've talked with recently has played it yet.
