So I am getting kind of scared about this talk or race playing a part in who we can romance. Whenever this happens Dwarves always get jiped. Just sayin please don't lock them out of most of the romances...

It's probably too late for them to change who the romances are available to at this point. They've gotten through all the companion introductions, so my hope is that they'll release who all the LIs are and what their availability is once they get through the three advisor announcements.

I doubt half let alone most of the LIs will be race-gated period, let alone against Dwarves. The only one I see being blocked is Iron Bull if he is an LI since the size difference makes it hard to animate.

Dwarves need love to. I still can't believe there have been zero dwarf LIs. I just... I don't get it.

I don't know, since I'm against the theory that says Iron bull (if LI) will be race-gated because of his size, all I'm saying is that there is as much size difference between Bull-any Quizzy than Sera-any Quizzy or Dorian-any Quizzy.

There is a much larger difference between Iron Bull and a Dwarf Inquisitor than there is any other pairing other than perhaps Varric and a Qunari Inquisitor. Humans and Elves are in the middle ground that makes them easier to work with.

I don't think the importance of a size difference matters to a trained cinematic designer, the key element is: there is a size difference that must be corrected manually.

 

Also, I don't see the logic behind establishing a character as omnisexual and then gating his romances.

Um, Iron Bull is just willing to sleep with anyone he thinks he won't break. So he has limitations placed on himself, thus not omnisexual. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't go after elves either since he thinks they are too skinny and thus breakable.

Come on, we both know the Inquisitor of any race would be strong enough.

Well for a dwarf I think it going to be more then just size thats going to make it difficult for a romance with Iron Bull, I mean just saying, I cant imagine the size of his &%$#@ and the poor dwarven woman trying to; well I think you get the picture. lol

I understand your feelings. The fact that there has NEVER been a dwarf LI is why i still hold out hope for one. At the same time I know it is late in the game's production for them to add/change anything like this, but if not this game maybe the next one.

I think it is entirely possible that Varric will be an LI, although from what we know about him, he'll probably be open to romancing female dwarves only. He could have an interesting romance arc, because you'd have to help him get over his loss of the original Bianca. So, hopefully the straight female dwarf players won't feel cheated, at least. I don't know whether there will be any straight lady dwarves or LGBT dwarves of any gender for dwarf player characters of other orientations to romance, though. However, I suspect that the non-dwarven LIs won't all be "No! No dwarves, ew!" In DA:O, dwarven player characters could romance the elf and human LIs, after all. I realize that isn't really what you're hoping for, though. Best of luck to all you dwarf-fans out there.

Varric being dwarven female only and a definite LI, I then would create a female dwarf just for that. No doubts cause Varric is a favored NPC to me. I dudebro him in plays but have flirted with the male dwarfs when playing a female to listen to the funny comments after. Hitting on Velanna as a female was fun too.   I like hearing their, sorry not interested or, other comments they might make. Oghren had several when he was drunk.

Dwaf players will have less romances i think cause of there size. Its easy to make a romance scene with the other races.

Dwarfs have a heart of stone that love cannot break. But really, Why no short people love? Short people can love too.
