I'm hoping for different  temporary starting companions based on Inquisitor backgrounds.

 

I would also really like  if they were family members or friends and you can choose your relationship to them through dialogue. I think it would be a nice way to flesh out the backstory of the PC a little bit. I know some players like to make elaborate background stories in their heads but I prefer if there is something in the game itself.

I don't think Inquisition soldiers will be filling that role. I'm certain that we'll get our requisite dead-in-prologue Bioware companion(s) though.

Haha, now that you mention it... the only exception so far seems to be Mass Effect 3, but there we have a ''grievously wounded and gone for half the game'' companion, so close enough.

i visited Kaidan in hospital only once - saw him almost naked, lying there, unnatural. i freaked out, charged out of the room and never came back. never visited Ashley, i was too scared of what i might see.

 

i think advisors could be temporary companions (recruitment mission or something)
