Welcome Kerridwynn! I hope you find our shenanigans entertaining!

Edit: And I'm going to apologize right now if I accidentally change that K into a C. I have a RL friend who's screen name is Ceridwyn, and Hannah and Bramble can tell you how good I am with names.

'ello 'ello!  I love a good roleplay, even just to watch it.  :)  And no worries with the name; if it helps you can call me Kerri.

I wish I could like this post a second time. :P

(Course, we did make it harder, naming our characters Tessa and Tempest. :D )

I'm going to try to shift the social conversation here instead of the OOC thread to allow the observers to participate without feeling left out. Let's save the OOC thread for game related stuff like announcements, plans, joint post warnings, and the like. We can still chatter away about our characters and RL, but maybe we should do that here.

Anyway, funny story to relate.

Fiance and I are both longtime tabletop gamers, and as it happens, Play-by-Post actually predates the internet. Ages ago, people used to play by mail, if you believe that, or by elevator, as the case may be.

Fiance and a lot of his friends were working as security guards in a shuttered office building. It was slated for demolition, but it hadn't happened yet, and they needed security guards to protect the assets that remained in the building prior to removal. With no staff in the building apart from security, they were hella bored, but they had to remain on their assigned floors, and they were not allowed to use their radios for personal communication. The DM was on the first floor, so he'd write out the game events on a legal pad, drop it inside the elevator, and send it up to the person on the second floor. That person would read the "post" and write down a response and send it up to the third floor. And so it went, for about six months. It was faster than Play-by-Mail, but it was still tedious. But that's what we did, back in the day.

Get off my lawn. :P

Is it my imagination, or do they keep changing the default (light) forum skin? Before, links were grey, and now they're blue. And the spoiler button had a grey outline that's blue now, too.

I have no idea, I use the dark skin (the white, it hurts me :P ), but I have noticed weird placement of the quote buttons and the logo at the top doesn't even show up.

I don't have buttons that take me to the last unread post anymore, unfortunately. Those things were useful!

If you look at the thread and see that the B or quote thingy is dark (or light) and click on it, it will take you to the first unread post.

I used to have those but they're gone now.

I used to have the dark screen, but a few weeks ago it suddenly turned back to the white again

Hopefully whatever they're tweaking will settle down, back into something that works for all of us.

You beat me to it! I was going to ask too!

So, for the record, I do not. :)

Keep invite? Did they finally open it? I would have to check if I can get in there.

edit: nope, still 'apply for beta'

Since Hannah offered first, I'll let her talk to you. :D

We were given some codes to give to friends and family who are interested in joining the beta with us. :D

(If anyone else needs, I still have a couple. :) )

I've been in the beta for ages, but they won't let me in :( I think they discriminate Europe... we can't get the special editions for Inquisition either...

I gave mine away, sorry. :(

I may have one later if the person I saved it for doesn't need it.

You're in the beta, or you registered for it, but haven't been selected? If it's the latter, let me know and I will pm you a code to get in. :D

I, um, may have invited my husband to observe. He's been told to behave. :P (He is Riftsburn, if anyone wants to say hi)
