I very nearly did not join, and I dithered a bit before I jumped in, but I am very thankful I decided to give it a shot. I am enjoying reading everyone's posts, I'm enjoying (slowly) getting to know everyone's characters, even as I am still getting to know my Tess.
I'm most thankful, I think, for Ruth, because it is an awful lot of work to catherd us all into some sense of organization and she does it beautifully and with grace. She's my favorite GM (outside Riftsburn, because I'm biased like that lol) ever.

Buh... been ill since yesterday evening, but had a great weekend nonetheless! (And no, it didn't involve alcohol...) 
On Saturday been to some local games convention (lawl, totally nothing compared to gamescom... like one hall versus 11), and had great fun with some last minute gathered clothes to do some kinda, sorta Assassins Creed:Black Flag-cosplay (totally borrowed the hidden blade from a friend I had met at Gamescom... ) The rest I already had for various LARP characters.
For a moment I got totally excited for DA-Merchandise, as I spotted a stand of Dark Horse... but they only had the comics... in DUTCH As I already have those in English, I passed...
Oh, and for those who do not believe I am like a RL dwarf-size... see pic of me and some random girl (ok, fair enough... she IS tall) 
And had the 'Ratfest' yesterday XD Also had lots of fun there Personally didn't raise much money for the shelter (about 24 euro), but hey: had fun, and sponsored plenty of other shelters And totally spoiled myself and the rats with goodies XD
Edit: And I totally wanted to steal her outfit (the woman on the right: Elise from Assassins creed Unity), but she didn't agree with that.... bummer! (Apparently they are the most famous Dutch AC cosplayers... at least they got totally hired to show up on this event). Not that I care that much about Assassins Creed (actually, I totally mess up with the controls), but THAT outfit... The man didn't look bad either, by the way... And I don't mind just the outfit

Anyway... I'm finally back at work! (My stomach decided to not accept any food for a few days... ugh) For one day... because weekend! Oh well, at least my colleagues are happy to see me again XD

The pictures are still on the phone. When I'm at work, I remember the pics, but I haven't figured out how to turn off the WiFi and use 3G (because I'm apparently still in the Stone Age and my abacus confuses me with all its bells and whistles).
We're going to get going again tomorrow. Stuff has been going on behind the scenes. Rather a lot of it, in fact, on multiple levels and across seemingly unrelated topics, and it needed to be resolved before we could go forward. Now that everything *has* been resolved, you'll be seeing the first phase of it tomorrow.
Sometimes, it's important to remember that we're a global group spanning 16 time zones and 3 continents, and each of us has a unique background and unique personal and social needs. We're fortunate to have found something that we're all so passionate about, but there are going to be times when we need to pause while we work through the inevitable challenges. But we all do love the game, and everyone has been wonderfully supportive, so whatever challenges we face, we'll work it out. Sometimes takes a bit of patience, that's all.
Oh, don't worry! I still have issues with picking up my phone (I have to swipe something aside to pick up the phone, but I am a champion in swiping it the wrong way), let alone that I have figured how to get pictures off my phone to anywhere else but facebook... Hence why I still use my trusted digital camera... And I vote for the reinvention of pigeons...
And obviously I don't mind if there is a delay or break! It just helps to know that that much is actually the case
During illness I've picked up DA:O again on my laptop, so no worries... I'll entertain myself with swooning over Alistair *whistles innocently* (Well seriously, playing it for the dozenth time now, but I am still amazed at the level of voice acting. The animations are sometimes off, but who cares: the voice makes it clear enough).
