I just want to let everyone know that Kerridwynn is safely in Virginia and should be back home (To North Dakota) middle of next week.  So you'll have to put up with me rolling dice for silly Rhys for another week.

We're all starting to get antsy for Inquisition, I imagine. If you can handle a few spoilers, these videos might fuel your anticipation.

 

My impressions:

 

Cullen. You know, I always suspected that he had a sense of humor in there. It's dry, but it's refreshing and intelligent. <Bleep!> the haters. I was swooning. There's really nothing more to say.

 

Leliana. Wow. Of everything they could have done to her between games, I had not expected that! I've never been a Leliana fan. I liked her well enough in Leliana's Song, when she was pragmatic and maybe a bit mercenary, but her DAO persona had me gagging. I found her both cloying and bland, in desperate need of either acid or spice to lighten it up. But let me tell you, cutting back on the sugar and adding some bitterness make her a lot more palatable. I was impressed! (And I never thought I'd be saying that in connection with Leliana.)

 

Josephine. She's adorable. My initial impressions were that she might be a little boring, but she certainly doesn't seem that way. She has a sense of humor, and she seems to possess a refreshing self-awareness that keeps her from sounding pompous. I might actually have to try this romance after all.

 

Cassandra. I'm still watching this one. I expected to like her, and I do. She isn't breaking any new ground with me so far, but I'm totally cool with that. I already had a good opinion of her, and nothing I've seen in the video is changing that. It's elaboration and exposition, and I'm enjoying it.

I've watched them a bit, but because it contains quite some bits from the game... not going to watch them further, as I prefer to as much as possible for the first time when I go for my first playthrough :$

So, I was looking the other day, for songs that represent Tess. (Very little luck, btw lol ) I came across this.

 

If you've EVER been to a Renaissance faire at closing, you'll have heard this song. I love it, very much, and this is a great version.  I think if we ever built a playlist around the group as a whole, we'd have to include this song (Even though Tess would be toasting Health with water. ).

Blackmore's Night is always good! I've got the cd 'Ghost of a rose'. It's great for cuddling up on the couch ^^

My Inquisition Diet

 

OK, I'm not going to leave the computer for the next week, so I laid in some supplies.

 

- pre-washed, pre-cut broccoli and cauliflower florets

- whole wheat Saltines (gotta have my salt)

- single-serving cans of tuna fish and lemons to squeeze over them

- Weight Watchers' Whipped Cream Cheese and pimpento-stuffed olives

- habanero cheese slices

- a gigantic pomegranate (you can eat a pomegranate forever and never gain weight if you do it by the kernel)

- 2 cucumbers and plain yogurt for dipping (with loads of black pepper)

- iceberg lettuce to cut in wedges and eat dunked in bacon cheddar ranch salad dressing

- 2 cases of seltzer water

 

Apart from the prepared salad dressing, this is actually a reasonably healthy menu. 

 

What's your Inquisition Diet?

Sounds good actually! I don't really have anything in mind yet for a diet, but guess it will contains lots of oven dishes XD 

 

Still going to continue to 'fast' for 2 days per week though (i.e. eat about 500 calories), so than I won't need to feel guilty if I end up eating a pizza or whatever XD

Also that's indeed a very good diet Ruth,mine will probably consist of pizza and chocolate...maybe some ice cream for the more emotional moments. xD

The game's coming out tomorrow, but not all of us are going to have access to it immediately, and of those that do, some of us are going to play at slower rates and won't want spoilers from the speedy players. Would it be better to avoid talking about game specifics entirely in here, or would you prefer to start a dedicated thread for it?

Let's make a dedicated thread? If I'm right, Lorien will be the last one to get to play the game, so it would be unfair to start throwing things around before she gets to experience it. But to totally not mention it... I love you lot and the game too much

They have such distinct personalities: Bartha likes to do her own things, but can also cuddle very well (and gives love bites, lol); Tessa just loves everyone, and tends to bounce around, giving kisses in between (I seriously do not get why no one wanted to adopt her and how the heck she ended up wandering on the street...); Cara was very shy at first, but has gained a lot of confidence since she tagged around with Tes (and now she starts to give kisses too ); Laurelin has a very easy-going character and loves cuddling up after bouncing around first.

 

Since new legislation requires shelters to have (paid) licenses, I have officially stopped. It will simply cost too much. I'll still accept pets coming in via the ambulance though, but it will be low profile.

As for me it's been a very busy week and I'm finally back in Greece,even though after getting used to the Scottish climate I'm practically melting here!My trip was exhausting as I had to take the train,wait in the airport for 6 hours and then change two planes before taking another train from Athens to my home city.Also with all the prparations fro the trip,I haven't finish my Cultural studies project yet.

But I did find some time to make Laurelin in Inquisition,she's so going to romance Solas!!

Scotland or Greece.. that sounds indeed like opposites when it comes to climate And too bad you had to wait that long at the airport Inq-Laurelin looks very cute! And Solas for the win!

 

I just think it is a pity there is no explanation for the valaslin (ugh, can't come up with the right name, sorry!) during character creation.
