So.....my husband and I were discussing this last night....
With how some of the companions bear an uncanny reseblance to certain celebrities....
(like original Solas to Nick Cage).
Could this potentially open up the Ellie/Ellen Page issue? (not sure of the whole thing, just recall briefly reading the issue was that 'you're using my likeness without compensating me'...and I have no clue what happened with the controversy and too lazy right now to look it up)
Would they have to prove that their likeness was used to model a companion on, or would they just have to do a side by side and say "look at this?"
to get some sort of $$ from Bioware/EA?
It's not like Cage couldn't use the $ to pay some of those taxes he owes.

If I remember correctly, the whole Ellen Page controversy was just dismissed ... didn't even make it to court. So no, I don't think Bioware is risking a lawsuit from Cage.

I watched Farscape after I played DA:O. Every scene with her was so jarring especially since many of the things Aeryn says in the show are things Morrigan could say
