You really think they'd make two homosexuals but no heterosexuals?
Not that I'd have a Problem with that, it's just so unrealistic.

It's not a romance thread unless someone complains about Anders hitting on you.

can't argue with that.
Obviously.
Sera and Dorian are gay.
So I heard .Recruiting them both is still optional right?

They've had a game that was devoid of a sexuality before. (DA:O)
So, why not?
Can't you imagine the Whining? You think they'd risk ANY Whining that can be easily avoided, especially by an option that requires less Work than the One that would cause the Whining in the first place?

Because they are still getting chewed out by some people for doing it perhaps?

BioWare would burn if they did that.
Well, this is getting locked soon. lol
Unfortunately.
SSSARGS.
Some people will think you're screaming with this. ![]()
Cause, you know, it looks like scream. ;P

But there will always be whining.
No matter what.
Whining on the forums gets you nothing.

Perhaps they have built up an immunity to the whining.
Honestly, people are going to make fun of and/or attack Bioware for anything they do in regards to romances, even if they were all heterosexual, there would still be a contingent calling the content a waste of time, gratuitous, and cheesy. If they did decide to have several bisexual love interests plus two gay, with no straight, I'd be pretty amazed...but I was just as amazed when we found out that we were getting four bisexual love interests in DA2. I wouldn't rule anything out just yet.
Don't people remember the happy days of Aufgestockt? I miss Aufgestockt.
Whining on the forums gets you nothing.
Not quite .It gets you banned
Really ?... . In Mass effect 2 we had Tali, Miranda, Kelly, Jack, with previous Lis from Mass Effect 1 like Liara and Ashley.
I guess you were soooo upset ?
In inquisition we have only three female companions.
Samara and Kasumi were not romance options though, the former not really and the latter not at all. In any game.
Having all three female companions and both female advisors be love interests at some point in the series would be really awkward.
Especially considering many straight guys thinking Bioware has abandoned them. By making 2 of the companions (male and female) straight, it would require less works for the developers to create scenes for both gender, it would also make it less controversy since people WILL complain if all the companions are gay and bi but not straight. Plus, I'm not a fan of the idea of revenge, just because I got the short end of the stick in DAO and most of ME games, I wouldn't want it to happen to others where I either have less options or my options often an afterthought. Telling people to "deal with it" because I experienced it before instead of making everything fair for everyone is just a breeding ground for animosity. Can't you imagine the Whining? No.

A lucky side effect of the acronym. ![]()
The ironic thing is that people are whining about getting an equal number of options.
The NPC advisor romances are going to get the same number of romance scenes, and they will have scenes with just them and the Inquisitor without any companions interfering.
This forum is about as persuasive as a pack of crazed howler monkeys. The majority of developers don't even read the BSN.
You're mistaking fairness for personal preference. What's fair is having the same amount of choices with the same amount of content for their plots. If you like the other side's choices more, that's not unfair, that's just unfortunate.
On the contrary, I think that the people who are saying that having one companion and one NPC romance when someone else has two companion romances is "unfair" are the ones mistaking fairness for personal preference.

Indeed. Didn't a dev say a week or two ago that there will be scenes with just the advisors and no companions, to boot?
This is getting really ugly. I wish we could all just agree that equal numbers of LIs for gender/sexuality with a fairly equal amount of content for each was the fair and desirable way for Bioware to proceed. It's not really helping either side gloating and holding options over each other's heads. We should try to be better than that.

Let me make this clear. The amount of whining and even genuine complaints that people have especially with regards to romances do not affect Bioware as much as you think they do. The people who complain about the romances in the first place are already in a minority of people who in large part buy the games for the romances between the millions of copies the game will sell. It gets down even lower as you get to more specific complaints regarding romances.
The main part that Bioware would worry about is their public image, and that's mostly about the writing not coming off as sexist, racist, ******/biphobic, transphobic, etc. It helps that this is also important to the writers and devs themselves, and not just for publicity sakes.
Take the races not initially being in for example. The number of people playing as a different race is unfortunately in a vast minority, but Bioware still did it because it was something they wanted to if it was possible with the added treat that there are a lot of people appreciative about it.
