I said Only AVAILBLE to MEN if cass is bi other people get her i want a option just for us. Making her straight gives us a option only we get.
Vivienne could be straight.

There should be straight LIs to counter the gay LIs.
What happened to wanting equality?

There "shouldn't" be anything as far as LI's. Bioware can do what they want.
Yeah, in context, she meant "romantic" as in the genre of medieval literature which generally involved heroes having epic adventures and so forth. The meaning of the word has become a bit warped over time.
Nah, she totally swoons when she says romantic.

Would it be THAT bad if there weren't any love interests who were straight this time around? It's not like there isn't already an abundance of them.
Considering the outcry there would be if it were the other way around (like in DA:O) then yes it would be very bad indeed.
If you aren't ok with one scenario then you shouldn't be happy with the other. This is why I laugh at the whole "fairness" argument.

It's like straight people forget that bisexual love interests can still be romanced by them.
As Maria mentioned, most of the people complaining about all bisexual were straight people.
It really depends on how you choose to view it. For some, the lack of straight LIs this time could be actually making things fair overall precisely because in DAO the situation was opposite.Considering the outcry there would be if it were the other way around (like in DA:O) then yes it would be very bad indeed.

If we're going by actual "fairness" then using the other Bioware games as examples it would be completely fair if every single LI in the game were a flaming homosexual and straight players got nothing (or if they got anything, it would be bisexual romances that were also available to gay players.) Of course Bioware wont do this, but if you want whats really fair then that would be it taking into account the choices gay players have had in the past.

Complete nonsense.
Complete nonsense.
So you would, if possible, rewrite every previous Bioware game so that everyone would be bisexual?
Complete nonsense.
Not really. Fairness doesn't mean you get 5 of something when I get 2 and then suddenly later you go "okay, now everyone gets 3." No **** that, what about the extra 3 you were getting before?
Again, Bioware wont do this and it's honestly not even something I want, I'm just pointing out that the "fairness" argument from straight players is silly, especially when they use it to try and "shame" gay players somehow. "What happened to equality? I thought you wanted equality? This isn't fair" etc etc, not seeming to take into account that they have always had more options in past games. Always.

That's if you believe in the whole "Go through what we went through" thing

While I can't speak for others about the DA2 route, it depends on how one views equality

To clarify, i'm a player that will (eventually) play as every race/gender/sexuality combination, so having every character be gay wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
I just find it funny that those who have consistently argued for "fairness" and equal representation seemingly wouldn't give a damn were the shoe on the other foot.
Complete nonsense.
I still haven't heard a good reason why we should not take into account the fact that in every other Bioware game with romances, people who play straight characters get more options than people who play gay characters. If people really care about fairness and equality, why NOT consider the overall count of love interests? It's not like all of that history goes away because DA:I is a new game.

What bs your talking just sounds like you want to do that cause you got a personal beef with straight people .

DA2's romances were imo were absolute equality. Everyone had access to every romance regardless of gender. However there were STILL people who were upset about it, and honestly it seemed obvious it wasnt what Bioware wanted and if they had had the extra time and resources to give them defined sexualities they would have. I am not opposed to either system.

That would be ridiculously stupid considering not all DA players have played both DA games.

Yes, I hate straight people ![]()
I would like you to keep in mind that almost no gay players were expecting ANY exclusively gay LI's in this game, and when we got them it was mostly a pleasant surprise. It wasn't something we demanded or expected like you seem to be.

Fairness exactly does mean everyone getting equality. Your approach is about punishing straight people(who may not have even been around for all said games) for the content developers have provided in the past. That's not about fairness.
I'd bring this topic back to being about Cassandra before it gets more heated, or a mod has to come in.
