Dorian being gays throws a wrench in that theory anyway

Indeed, I was thinking the same thing.

@Char Yep, found this out when I was serving.  Eventually he told me he liked watching me run, I was in my squad ahead of him in formation. I didn't do anything, kept professional, just said no thanks. :)  And I never would of guessed if he hadn't tried hitting on me.

That can say a lot on any character, just cause they didn't seem to be or say or show, then one day say, Hey I like, like you. The cat left the bag and learned oh, they are bi, not straight. Cassie can fall in this same boat as that guy.

Thanks for such for sharing that!

Quite Welcome Natashina, I find its hard to argue against things that have happened in real life to me when I look at the same discussion, that happened in my life.  I have posted other relevant information in posts that correlated with the topic of thread. Hearing someone say, this cant happen, when have had it happen to me, makes it difficult to say, yeah your right, knowing its wrong cause it happened.

Thanks  :D

Again, the only thing to even hint at her possibly being bisexual is that people want her to be.

But there doesn't need to be a hint. If she is bisexual, she's bisexual. She doesn't have to have had a relationship with a woman to be bisexual, she doesn't have to walk around with a flashing neon sign to be bisexual. All that's required is for her to be interested in women as well as men, and until it's confirmed one way or another people can hope :)

Nothing at all to hint at any kind of sexuality other than people want her to be this or that. It is pointless and not constructive.

Agreed. :)

I'm wondering how many folks would look at my life and go, "Oh, she's straight."  I'm married to a man, and have been monogamous for over 10 years.  However, I'm pansexual.  The gender of the person I'm with, nor the length of time I'm with them, nor my monogamy with them, will change my sexuality in any way shape or form.  I may not go around flirting with every guy and gal I see, but I'm still a pansexual.

Also, folks can come out at any time, at any age, without a previous history of having any flirting, sex and/or relationships with folks of the same gender.  Look up the actress Meredith Batxer, who played the mom on the 80s TV show Family Ties.  She came out in 2009, at the age of 62.

People will make any guess if they do not know you personally.

My point is that they would be wrong.  Just like it's wrong to assume anything about Cassandra's sexuality based on scraps of words (which Varric said, not Cassandra,) and a chaste kiss (that took place around 20 years ago.)

Like I said before, Varric using his words to Cassandra should be not taken as a marker of her sexuality.  I'm not assuming she's bisexual, but I'm not going to sit here and assume she's straight either.

Draken is saying she isn't identified as well, from what I understand. Though I could be misreading?

I could say that in reverse as well.  Some folks are taking a chaste kiss and the words that Varric said to her and jumping to "she must be hetero."

Ah ok, so maybe figured out we all was trying to say the same thing then?  Wording can play tricks at times. I argued with my sis about something, dad stepped in and said, look, you said this, she said this, now reconsider word arrangements and it was the same, arguing same side but different words. Sometimes it happens. :)  I changed a post before too, cause I reread it badly. Sorry, wasn't siding with either, was stepping back and viewing words typed. :)   Cause it looked the same, makes sense when word was changed before I saw it.

I don't think that anybody thinks she is bi, There is a whole lot of hope from people that she will be. Some people who want something so badly will see something that isn't there that will justify their hope. Looking too deeply into things is kind of our specialty on the BSN.

Honestly, we don't know enough about her sexuality as of now to say whether she will be bi, straight, a lesbian or anything else.

Dear Cassandra, please slip your hand inside my straps and batter me against a metal gate.

I approve of this.

Any particular reason that he wanted that detail to be included?

He hasn't said why he wanted her to be a lesbian.

You can go to the Sera thread and ask him though. He's only half as evil as Mary.

I don't think anyone "thinks" Cassandra's bi. I think a whole lot of people hope Cassandra is bi. There's a difference.

I'ma flip some tables if she's human only, though.

Indeed only difference between her and Dorian/Sera is that fans of those characters hopes were crushed early whilst lack of announcement of orientation for Cassandra has kept some people's hopes well and truly alive.

Great, now I have this mental image of Dorian coaching the inquisition dodgeball team.

Thanks

Personally, just how she reacts to a female Hawke during Varric's telling at a few points. I honestly can't recall specifics, sorry, but that was the impression I came away with. As if she was crushing on my female Hawke.

If Cassandra was crushing on your female/male Hawke, she was crushing even more on her brother in DotS. She even said she loved him dearly.

Cassandra is a romantic (in the old sense of the word: chivalric+heroics). She likes acts of courage, glory and honor. That little kiss on the cheek to Galyan in DotS, it was to thank him because he allowed her to regain her honor.

I hope she's Varric-sexual only, and no Inquisitor can romance her. I ship them and to see the outrage on the forums would be amusing. But sadly I think she's been confirmed as a romance so... >:

Her and Cullen were at about the same time, so they will be available to some of the players.  Who she will be available for is unknown and too hard to accurately guess at this point.

Bioware doesn't like set romances they like couples forming if neither partner was romances by the PC.

I have no idea what your point is.  All that I said is that Cullen and Cassandra have been confirmed as LIs for the Inquisitor, and the reveals came about the same time.  As a result, we know that they will be available to the players.  We just don't know if they'll be straight or if they'll be bisexual.
