Hello all,
Will I be able to actually install and play the game if I order it from the American Amazon store instead of a European store? It's quite a lot cheaper.
Thanks!

For PC, yes. For consoles, probably not.
Exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks, Kallimachus!
You're welcome!
I also was forced to order from Amazon.com because for some unknown reason the Deluxe physical version of the game is not available from Amazon UK.

I doubt it will be cheaper after shipping, toll and taxes. Import into the EU usually require at least the V.A.T. With 20% that's quite hefty.
Good point, I hadn't even thought of that yet. Regardless, it's the only way I have found so far to get the physical deluxe edition.

Turns out that even with all the added costs, the game is still only 3 euros more expensive than the Origin digital deluxe edition.

I live in Brazil, my PS3 is from USA and both my Dragon Age Origins Ultimate and Dragon Age 2 I bought from UK. But you'll need an PSN account from the same region to buy DLC or Redeem any codes... I know nothing about the Live, but should be the same. Blu-ray discs doesn't have region lock.

I stand corrected, then.
Are you sure you want to go through all of this for the physical deluxe edition? You'll probably get the game later than most, and the shipping cost will probably be very high. The deluxe bonuses are not that mindblowing either. Perhaps you should check out to see if any shops closer to home let you pre-order the regular edition and give you some of the deluxe's edition content as bonuses.
If you buy it with "normal" shipping, you pay the same price as the digital version, but you'll have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. If you're willing to pay about 10€ extra it will take 2 days, so it will arrive on release day in Europe.
So I think it's the best you can do. Otherwise you would have to wait for an upgrade.
Well, I guess we will not have a boxed Deluxe Edition on Brazil, so I will order the standard (yes, still no physical pre-order atm) and wait for the upgrade (if it comes at some point). Don't know how it is there, but here to get things from outside of the country is very complicated, it takes time, extra money, I don't know if the Deluxe Edition is worth for all the trouble...
They said EA is trying to bring a limited physical edition to Brazil (smaller than the Inquisitor's Edition), so I hope the waiting is worth...
So for people in the UK, cheat the system by being a PC player and pre-order from the US! ![]()
For Dutch (and Belgian) people: Bol.com sells the console deluxe editions, but not pc. I sent them an email to ask whether they will get the pc version at some point.
