There at least has been thread about murder knife already.. maybe it got closed?
Ahh the good ol' murder knife, instantly killing people since 2009.

Yeah I saw it aswell dunno what happend to it.
I have never used the murder knife in a BioWare game. The only time I got close was when I killed Anders...and then I reloaded my save. I preferred him alive, even on a pro-Templar playthrough.
I've dismissed companions in RPGs before when the game allows me to do so, but I haven't killed any of them off. The only one I wanted to murderknife in the BW games I've played was Bishop from NWN2, because I knew it was going to end badly. They didn't let me. ![]()
Ahahahah I've always played the good one and never explored the dark side. Nice compilation though!
Well, aggressive Hawke has his/her moments.
I did search for "murder knife" but nothing, nothing recent at least.

I used the murder knife on the crazy dude that killed elf kids. I think that's it.
I did do an "evil" playthrough in DA2 just for laughs.
Found another murder knife moment.

Oh god, I forgot to mention that clown. I did as well.
This series need Renegade interrupts. Like this one!
Those were FUN!
In DA , I've always done at least one play through with my scumbag a.k.a psycho blood mage. So, that murderknife was used in EVERY opportunity. It's always pretty funny

I know that feels!
I enjoy seeing most characters disapprove (Wynne, Alistair, Leliana) and some approve (Shale!) XD
Varric is easily rivals with aggressive "stabbity" Hawke. I mean, he calls her/him "Killer" for a very good reason.

Aww man I know! Haha
"10- Approval Alistair"
10000 + approval Morrigan
Murder knifin' is fun, and DA's murder knife moments could be brutal. I won't partake in my first playthrough (my goody-goody angel character) but I will def indulge in follow-up runs.
I need at least one playthrough to bask in the glory of the murder knife. It's rather cathartic to give all those smug NPC what they had coming, after playing the goody two-shoes the first time.
And we all know:

It needs its daily ration of blood.

Now I'm just imagining the Murder Knife having a mind of its own and if the Warden/Hawke didn't use it regularly enough it just went out and killed.
The Title suggest listening to the imperial March whenever the Murder Knife shows up. That must be awesome.

That reminds me of the sword Lilarcor from Baldur's Gate 2. It was completely psychotic and always advised you to kill people, unless it complained about not being 'cleaned and polished thoroughly'. Maybe the Murder Knife is a relative?

Ha!
And now I'm thinking of how amusing it would be if there were another solo run monologue-banter (like the post-Quanari-in-the-chantry one from DA2) where doing a long enough solo run could trigger a banter between the Inquisitor and the murder knife.
