So I was thinking, since there won't be an actual playable origins for our Inquisitor's race, can there be a DLC for it specifically except it won't be a past event, it'll occur during the inquisitor's journey.
Here's what I'm thinking: A person or group of people from the Inquisitors past try to contact the inquisitor and will be taken onto a journey where the plot is focused around the inquisitor him/herself, in these series of quests you can also go a long way in developing your inquisitors character based on your choice (simple example: Qunari's agreement or disagreement with the Qun). Your companions will also get to know you better, and they can share their opinion regarding the inquisitors choices, that sort of thing.
Just my 2 cents, what do you guys think of the idea? And any idea of your own for future DLCs?

I heard that the titular content in Origins wasn't a financial success.

A DLC that gives you flying mounts would be interesting. Skyrim had that.

Not even real flying mounts , We weren't able to actually take off / land and go fly around on the dragon wherever in skyrim we wanted. But i'm sure no doubt... There is a Mod for that.

I think the problem was that the vast majority of players (around 80%) played humans, and the vast majority of those played warriors or rogues. Only around 15% of PCs were elves, and 5% were dwarves - which means that each dwarf origin was only seen around 2.5% of the time. That's a lot of resources invested into something almost nobody used. (And I say that as someone who thinks the dwarf origins were the best, and one of my favourite parts of the game.)

Which is disappointing. Dalish , City Elf , Dwarf Commoner and Dwarf Noble Origins were fantastic , but won't like Human Noble was my favorite.

I very much like the idea of going through a series of quests that shed some light on the Inquisitor's past, everyone has some skeletons in their closet.. having the Inquisitor haunted by ghosts from his past (literally or figuratively, both would work) would be an interesting way of developing him/her as a person and since no one really knows who he/she is (from what we know so far) I think our companions would definitely show interest into finding out who their leader truly is/was and would provide some interesting banter/opportunities to strengthen and/or weaken bonds.

well that sucks majorly i personally enjoyed each of the origins, i think they set up the journey in a good way, if inquisition has something in there explaining the characters origins during a conversation id be happy with that myself. i wouldnt mind a DLC with the warden commander and hawke included in there NPC's

Had DA:O not been such a really long game, I'd probably have played all of the origins. Every time I think about starting a new game with a different character, I'm reminded of the arduous quests that lie ahead. Don't get me wrong, the length of the game certainly made the ending all the more epic and enjoyable. DA:O may have a pretty good replay value but for me personally, it would take at least a year before I feel the need to play it again. As of now I've done just two playthroughs, as the Human Noble (this one's my favorite too!) and the Magi.
Soo, I don't think it'll be financially viable for Bioware to make an origins DLC for DA:I since it's highly unlikely that most people would try all of the available choices. Unless they decide to make it a paid DLC... ![]()

you could have just done what most people did, play all the origins after youve beaten the game

I would buy it. I would also buy a DLC that unclocks romances for companion that dont have a romance, or that expaned and existing romance...

Like I said, it took me almost 60 hours to beat the game. I don't think I want to do that four times more, especially considering that most of the game scenario will remain the same. Or are you suggesting that I play just the origins part?

I would like to see the cello player from E3(did an excellent job playing the cello) have a character in her image and she is playing the cello when the Inquisitor walks into a tavern for any future dlc.

Agreed. There a small references and events that happen differently throughout the game as different Origins, but the bulk of the difference can be found before you get to Orzammar. They are a lot of fun and really help set up a lot of the story in ways you probably didn't expect. You get a whole different feel for the Circle and how crazy things became there when you see it peaceful and serene during your Origin. You get very different views on Bhelen and Harrowmont when Bhelen is your brother (Dwarven noble) or when your Casteless sister gets a chance at living a life of luxury by being Bhelen's concubine (Dwarven commoner). You get a feel of Dlaish culture (and a good bit of lore on Eluvians) as a Dalish elf, while a snapshot of racist brutality (and an explanation why the Alienage is blocked off when you first arrive in Denerim) as a City Elf.quote name="OrayMoor" post="16870022" timestamp="1404406833"]You should they are pretty fun.
Human Noble is, by comparison, the most boring of all the Origins to me.

I like a mostly open-ended past. Give me a few plot-relevant options to choose for my PC's past and I'm good to go.

It gave DA:O RPG cred that helped it get good reviews. Good reviews equals more games sold.
