interesting stuff. The thing that bugs me is the DAI being last in the Infiltrators. I would have thought pugs would be all over Recon mine, but I guess they don't like the squishiness. Still the best sniper IMO
The state of pugs today. Final count from me, with PC and PS3 results (see OP)

Usually, when I play (which is rare anymore) its on my GI. I run through the AR challenge. Its fun, until you get to the bottom of the heap and have to use the trash guns.

I'm thinking about collecting some more data through the weekend but I don't know if I will have time for it, tbh.

After one more week of counting, this is how the list looks for kits on Xbox:
1st Place: The Juggernaut. (35 sightings)
Sadly the extra week of counting only furthered his lead. I dropped into 2 lobbies with 3 juggernauts this week.
2nd Place: The Destroyer Soldier (13 sightings)
The Destroyer Just about held on to his 2nd place position. One more missile glitcher (still on gold!) though.
Joint 3rd Place: Geth Engineer (11 sightings)
This unit does not share third place. If you decide not to count the three missile glitching Destroyers it would be in 2nd.
Joint 4th Place: Cabal Vanguard, AIU, Shadow (10 sightings)
Cabal continued to do well, holding position with the most popular infiltrators.
8th Place: Talon Mercenary (9 sightings)
Remained surprisingly popular, although all the reckoning characters seemed to place fairly well.
Joint 9th Place: Turian Sentinel, Fury, Geth Trooper, Paladin. (8 sightings)
The poor old Turian slipped a bit, with the paladin making up for lost time.
AND THE REST
7 sightings each:
Demolisher, Human Engineer
6 sightings each:
Human Soldier, Quarian Female Engineer, Salarian Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier
5 sightings each:
Vorcha Hunter, Krogan Warlord, Geth Infiltrator, Ghost, Ex Ceberus Vanguard, Krogan Vanguard
4 sightings each
Awakened Collector, Slayer, Human Adept, Volus Engineer, Huntress
3 sightings each:
Saboteur, Drell Adept, Assassin, Battlefield 3 Soldier, Human Sentinel, Vorcha Sentinel, Krogan Soldier, Quarian Male Infiltrator
2 sightings each:
Asari Adept, Krogan Shaman, Human Vanguard, Batarian Sentinel, Justicar, Batarian Soldier, Havoc, Quarian Infiltrator, Ex Cerberus Adept, Asari Vanguard, Quarian Male Engineer, Drell Vanguard
The Just Made It Club, 1 sighting each.
Volus Adept, Batarian Brawler, Asari Valkyrie, Turian Soldier, Volus Mercenary, Volus protector Vanguard
Why does nobody love us?
Batarian Slasher, Quarian Marksman Soldier, Krogan Sentinel, Salarian Engineer, Human Infiltrator.
Much shorter list of absentees this time, and fewer surprises with all of the Asari and Quarians putting in at least a cameo. Sadly, so did all of the volus.

The absence of Krogan Sentinels from PUG lobbies across different platforms is genuinely surprising.
I would say shocking and heartbreaking, and the sort of information which might inspire a sad poem or two, but it's only a game after all.

I ran into a pug once who thought the GSMG was the best SMG. Even better then the Hurricane. No matter what I said he didn't believe me. Where I first learned it's best to just let pugs be and me adapt to them + fight very strong urges to correct them or rage.
Pugs also love accurate weapons with a lot of reserve ammo. Hence why nobody but some BSNers ever does grenade cheese right (ie. crazy spamming + ammo box running = everything super dead with zero effort), because they don't like doing ammo box runs too much (honestly, no many do. Even I). And also why the Talon/shotgun aren't as popular with them, as they require more in you face risk play style + no accurate enough for safer long range style. And why pray and spray AR are the most popular (very easy to use/aim and accurate enough to play the safe long range style).
Low recoil falls into the accuracy thing as well. Once someone asked me if the Argus was good. I said it was fine but put a stability mod on it. He didn't and hated it because how un-accurate it was. I asked if he was scoping it in, cause them bullets looked mighty wild, lol. That, and it always seems like very many don't scope in their weapons enough (too much recoil that way + maybe they don't know about lost accuracy as well?).
The CSMG is total garbage to pugs. No joke. this guy was laughing at this guy from spectator mode to his buddy saying "He's trying to kill something with the CSMG, lol." His buddy, "lol. The CSMG can't kill anything. Hahahaha." And that CSMG was at level 10 too.
If pugs do know of a proper OP setup, ie AIU & Reeger, it's cause of YouTube. Pugs, well, most folks actually, don't like to read. Cause think about it, if most did, most wouldn't be so uninformed.
Pugs are also fine with relying on stimpacks then learning about proper cover or that left hand advantage is no good, and to even bother playing with anyone else anymore even. Heard one say his fave kit/weapon combo by far was Ghost Harrier. Another said "I can't believe I somehow all 66666 glitched the Ghost, the most overpowered kit in the game + finally got the most OP Harrier too!" (And he keep saying that serveal times throughout the match. Like making him 66666 makes him any more OP then he is, even if going full melee, lol) Plus every now and then he kept going "Wow, can't believe how fast I'm killing everyone?!" etc, etc, etc, .
The Jug is very fun. There's is nothing wrong with pugs loving the Jug.

The Warlords that don't blindly run in with Hammers swinging seemed to use a variety of ranged options in my lobbies (I go PPR w Acolyte vs Geth)

Haaa! I remember learning the Warlord. I haven't been stabbed so many times, squeezed by Atlases, Brute slammed or Banshee autopsied (hand in my guts looking for last nights dinner) in all of my N7 career.

@Sinful --
" ... nobody but some BSNers ever does grenade cheese right (ie. crazy spamming + ammo box running = everything super dead with zero effort) ... "
I confess to grenade cheezing but I thought any kind of cheeze is frowned upon by BSNers? (Will have to wait for after Megabeast's honeymoon for the final word on this, I guess.)
"Pugs, well, most folks actually, don't like to read. Cause think about it, if most did, most wouldn't be so uninformed."
I don't think it's easy to find the jewels of BSN wisdom in this forum (millions of posts!) Takes some kind of obsessiveness to do so.

Well I've never seen grenades done right outside of BSNers or myself. Have you? Most pugs like to save them for emergencies or totally not spec into them because they don't have grenade capacity. And since without that they have such a small limit, that no way most see them as a power worthy of investing in. I know that was my reasoning in early pug days too. And it seems like it's for most, if not all, pugs too?
I'm also not talking about if it's right or not. Just talking about the state of pugs.
And it makes sense why Grenade Capacity even came out. BioWare seen many weren't using or speccing into them. Cause all the balance changes, no matter how OP they seem to us, where made with how the pugs where using them in mind. Not us. Cause if all pugs were abusing nades like crazy, grenade capacity never would of came out or scrapped/nerfed.

Not sure what you mean when you say that you have never seen grenades "done right".(outside of BSNers)
If I pick a grenade class I am going to use them nades. My Drellgod and Assguard are unashamed grenade spammers. Batsol and Krosol less so and mainly used against armour. Not sure what the right way is to use them ?

I spam arc grenades with the MQE but haven't come to appreciate homing grenades much. With the Drell Assassin, I only spec into 4 ranks on homings, take warfighter or shock trooper gear and always think, when sending them off that they are no more, perhaps less effective than if I just kept shooting instead.
