Really? I would have thought people used it at least once and awhile, unless they're too busy melee'ing, shotgunning, or getting insta-killed. I guess this gives me reason on using a Sniper Krogan then.
Sure, sometimes people do that. But it's still rare. And I'm surprised that you're surprised by this.
Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly alright to play a sniper krogan. I do it at times. But krogan kits have pretty much zero synergy with that playstyle, which is why people rarely do that. (Also lore reasons.)

Also, because you can't put an omni blade on a sniper rifle.

I will be deeply troubled the day I see a public Platinum lobby without the presence of a Juggernaut and an over eager N7 50 player. It would mean the world will end at 12:00 or something.

Well, I can't speak for PUGs, but personally I don't enjoy grenade spam, and arc grenades are the most boring of all the grenades in the game.
I do play the Quarksman quite often, though.

Pugs want the safe I win button that gets them the high score.
Well that's the Male Quarians.

When I was new to the game, I didn't like quarians - didn't like any of the 5.
Still the same - don't like any of the 5.
May be some pugs are like me. ![]()

Most ME3MP players (BSN is a very little part of them) hate grenades. Including me.

Though I haven't kept track, across all my hours of ME3MP I admit, I've probably played the Jug more than any other kit. I play him when I'm low on ops packs & medi-gels. I'm constantly buying jumbo equipment packs -- sadly, I often need all 6 of each to help the team extract! Pugs more likely have fewer of these consumables to use per:match.
Other than that, it's hard to say which kits I've played more; certainly not the Destroyer. Seems like I've also played a lot of: Turian Sentinel, GI, Huntress, GT, Asari Sentinel, Fury, ACA MQE, Demolisher. I've dabbled with a lot of the others.

I have only ever encountered one Volus Vanguard, ever. Their biotic charge just seems like it should be like a bowling ball or a cue ball for the sake of hilarity.
I do see male Quarians and I periodically see Salarians.

I think for some grenades are an issue because of ammo box issues. It is hard to be grenade dependent when playing with three other grenade dependent kits on a map that has awful grenade drop rates.
I stayed away from grenade classes for a long time on Gold & Plat because I didn't want to limit my effectiveness.
Now I just use the thermal clips when I need to, but I'll still switch off a grenade class if there are 2 other grenade users in the lobby.

In that form grenades are more useable because do not used offensively. Not for me though.

I must be missing something, but I don't see how arc grenades are that great. Every other kind of grenade, sure. Lift and clusters, check. Inferno, frags and multi-frags, check. Even got a killstreak off a sticky grenade once. But I must not know how to spec or use arcs, since they just seem kinda meh to me.
I had a killstreak but I spammed the arc grenades at a spawn point. Also used arc the same as energy drain to shock enemies and head shot them while stunned.

Definitely an interesting piece of research. Out of the top three tiers of kits I only play one of them (Fury), the rest I tend to avoid. Every single one of my favourite kits lurks in the 'only seen once' and 'never seen at all' categories - apart from the Smashguard, apparently a few people have good taste.
Without doing any research at all, I would say the kits I bump into most on PS3 are the Jug, TGI and something that spams flamer.

Well done buckets, i had tried to do this type of things a few times but gave up. The one bit of info I'd like to see in this regard is how many pugs do not equip any consumables.

I'd love to know how many don't even equip gear... like they don't realise it's a permanent item or something.
